Overall, the reviews describe Homers Boîte à Beignes as a lively spot with huge, soft donuts, a broad and inventive flavor lineup, and friendly, efficient service, while noting high prices and occasional long waits, with some critiques about sweetness or texture and a call for clearer labeling and ingredients for allergy safety.
The donuts are absolutely delicious - fresh, flavourful, & clearly made with care. However, I have a serious concern as someone with a nut allergy. The donuts were all mixed together on the same platter, with no labels or names to identify the different kinds. Even worse, the website doesn't list all the types of donuts available or their ingredients, making it a complete mystery box for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies.
This isn't just a small oversight - it can be extremely dangerous. Allergies are serious, & customers need clear labeling & ingredient information to make safe choices. I truly hope this issue is addressed, because while the donuts are amazing, this lack of transparency is unacceptable & puts people at real risk.
I recently tried Homer Donuts & it definitely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't just your average donut shop - everything looks fresh, thoughtfully made, & honestly a bit hard to choose from because the selection is so tempting.
The donuts themselves are the highlight. They're incredibly soft & airy, with a texture that feels light but still satisfying. You can tell they're made fresh - not greasy, not overly dense, just perfectly balanced. The sweetness is well done too. While some of the more creative or filled donuts can lean on the sweeter side, the classic flavors really stand out for being simple & executed really well.

I purchased some of the fancy decorated donuts. They are fun & beautiful, but all that decoration is pretty much just sugar in one form or another, & we could barely eat them (I'm sure kids love them). I also got one undecorated donut to eat in the car, & that was the best donut I have had in years. It was big & soft & fresh & basically everything that Tim Hortons donuts are not. Next time I will get a box of the undecorated donuts. They have some arcade machines & a few tables but the employees were cranking Arabic rap music through the store's sound system & I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

These gourmet donuts... Omg... All their flavors are to die for. They are huge, fresh, delicious every single time. If you haven't tried a Homer's Donut yet, don't walk, run to a location near you. You can thank me later! 😍
I find Krispy Kreme too sweet & artificial tasting. I was expecting the same here but the doughnuts are so fresh & delicious & the icing is also really, really good. They aren't just pure sugar, they have actual flavour. The doughnuts are super fresh & you can see them preparing them in the back. The churro piece in the churro doughnut was stale though. Still 5 stars because I have been totally won over by this place.
