I've come here two times so far & every time I come I get greeted by friendly & nice staff. The food is always amazing & the portions are perfect. Throughout our meal the staff came many times & checked up on us. It was my mom's birthday & they brought out a free birthday treat of her choice, as well as fortune cookies for the rest of us.
Had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, tasty, & well-presented, & the service was friendly & professional. The restaurant was extremely clean, neat, & well-maintained, including the tables, seating area, & washrooms. The atmosphere was comfortable & welcoming. Overall, excellent food, cleanliness, & service. Highly recommended & definitely worth visiting again!
We stopped by Hakka Grill for lunch & had a great experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, & served quickly. We tried a couple of their chicken dishes, & they were both delicious-well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, & generously portioned. The drinks were also refreshing & paired really well with the meal.
The staff were welcoming, attentive, & happy to answer our questions & help us choose from the menu. Their friendly attitude made us feel right at home.
Overall, it was an excellent lunch, & we're glad we decided to give Hakka Grill a try. Great food, great service, & a pleasant atmosphere. We'd definitely come back & would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal in Montréal!
I decided to try Hakka Grill after seeing it recommended on TikTok while looking for good Hakka Chinese food. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest disappointments I've had.
The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. Our bill came to over $161, & it honestly wasn't worth even half of that. The chicken lollipops were served so cold that they tasted like they had just come out of the freezer. I've never had chicken lollipops served like that at any Hakka restaurant.
The fried rice was another surprise. In all the years I've eaten Hakka food, I've never had broccoli mixed into fried rice. It didn't taste authentic, & the overall quality of the food was very poor.
The service was just as disappointing. We were the last dine-in customers of the night & placed our order within about 15 minutes, yet a 15% gratuity was automatically added to our bill despite receiving little to no customer service. To make matters worse, we weren't even provided with an itemized bill to review the charges.
This restaurant may have good reviews online, but that certainly wasn't our experience. Don't rely solely on TikTok or online recommendations because they don't always reflect reality. We left feeling disappointed, overcharged, & unsatisfied. I definitely won't be coming back.
Great taste, Halal authentic Chinese food in town. We were there last night & we missed the buffet because we got there late but Zohaib was still able to get us good food. Definitely coming back when we visit Montreal again. Highly recommended!
