Guests frequently highlight the welcoming atmosphere and the attentive, professional service provided by the staff and management, who are often noted for their accommodating nature and hospitality. The restaurant is appreciated for its clean, comfortable environment and efficient service, making it a favorite spot for family gatherings, celebrations, and casual dining alike. We went to Hakka Grill for a birthday lunch, & we had such a wonderful experience! The restaurant itself is beautiful, & the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, & attentive.
We started with the appetizers, & the dynamite chicken & honey garlic chicken bites were absolutely delicious. We also tried their chicken corn soup, which was full of flavour & a great way to start the meal.
For the main course, we loved the Mongolian beef & chilli chicken, paired with the mixed chow mein & fried rice. Everything was flavourful, fresh, & cooked perfectly.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Hakka Grill. Great food, a beautiful atmosphere, & wonderful service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Hakka dining experience!
I checked out this place in July & they only had 2 vegetarian dishes; it was either stir fried noodles with veggies or egg fried rice.
I went with the egg fried rice & it was such a let down. There was no flavor, the dish BARELY had any veggies or eggs. The drinking cups on my table & table next to ours had food stains. The waiter was busy watching tv & the kitchen staff were bored or something because every time I looked up they'd be watchng us. Bad experience.
Overall, we had a really great dining experience at Hacket Grill. The service was impressively fast, friendly, & efficient throughout the evening, & the food was packed with flavor. Highlights for us included the Mongolian beef, the spicy chili chicken & beef, & the egg fried rice-everything we ordered tasted fresh & delicious, & we genuinely enjoyed our meal.
The only reason for docking a star is the experience with the Spectra app coupon ($25 all-you-can-eat buffet). Once you arrive with the coupon, you are handed a separate, restricted buffet menu with a much more limited selection compared to the regular menu. Because of this, you don't get a full taste of what the kitchen actually offers, & the choices for re-ordering are quite restricted.
If you stick to the à la carte menu or know what to expect with the promotion, the food & service are definitely worth checking out.
I decided to try Hakka Grill after seeing it recommended on TikTok while looking for good Hakka Chinese food. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest disappointments I've had.
The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. Our bill came to over $161, & it honestly wasn't worth even half of that. The chicken lollipops were served so cold that they tasted like they had just come out of the freezer. I've never had chicken lollipops served like that at any Hakka restaurant.
The fried rice was another surprise. In all the years I've eaten Hakka food, I've never had broccoli mixed into fried rice. It didn't taste authentic, & the overall quality of the food was very poor.
The service was just as disappointing. We were the last dine-in customers of the night & placed our order within about 15 minutes, yet a 15% gratuity was automatically added to our bill despite receiving little to no customer service. To make matters worse, we weren't even provided with an itemized bill to review the charges.
This restaurant may have good reviews online, but that certainly wasn't our experience. Don't rely solely on TikTok or online recommendations because they don't always reflect reality. We left feeling disappointed, overcharged, & unsatisfied. I definitely won't be coming back.
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!
Worst Hakka Chinese food I've ever had! The chicken fried rice had no chicken in it & it was more like a Pulao. The rice had some kind of insecticide smell to it. It gave me & my whole family diarrhea. I ordered the food for my dad's birthday party. The manchurian gravy chicken had no gravy & was sweet & super spicy both at the same time! It was weird. The corn chicken soup & chef special chicken soup were like water, there was no chicken in it. No taste whatsoever! We had to throw it away. I'm not sure how these guys have managed to show good ratings on Google. JUST MINTING MONEY BY SERVING THE WORST FOOD THAT CAN COST YOU YOUR HEALTH! TRUST ME, YOU'LL THANK ME LATER!
We came in based on the decent Google reviews, but unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the hype. While the staff were gracious enough to seat our party of four by the window as requested, the rest of the evening was a letdown.
The food was mediocre at best. While the fried fish appetizer was good, the beef & broccoli with fried rice was completely passable & lacked any real flavor. The atmosphere also felt a bit disorganized; there was a party room on the other side that made the main dining area feel chaotic. To make matters worse, the chairs were uncomfortable & the tables were wobbly.
Service was confusing staff weren't in uniform, so it was hard to tell who actually worked there. When our food arrived, the server didn't even know what the dishes were, essentially telling us'whatever you ordered is this.' Having to walk to the back of the restaurant to pay at the end felt more like a fast-food joint than a proper restaurant. Overall, a disappointing experience.
This is not a Chinese restaurant at all. I ordered chicken fried rice to go & received a curry style fried rice. This is Indian food fusion at best. Very misleading & not at all what they described on Google.
Had an amazing experience at Hakka Grill. I went there with a friend for dinner. We got
- Dynamite Shrimp 🍤 9/10
-Mongolian Beef with Fried Rice 🍝 8/10
- Korean Chicken with Fried Rice 🍝 8.5/10
- Dessert 🍮 7.5/10 ( Ruby & Chocolate Mousse Cake)
Overall, if you are looking for Halal Asian fusion food, this is the place for you. Also the place is kid & family friendly. Great ambiance & lighting. The servers were super polite & friendly. They served our food super fast & kept checking on us if we need anything. Highly Highly recommend!!
