Amazing turkish restaurant! The service is very friendly, food is delicious, & the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Would definitely come back again!
Absolutely amazing brunch experience. The food presentation was stunning - everything looked so beautiful & almost cinematic laid out on the table. You could tell a lot of care went into every detail.
The flavors were even better than the presentation. Fresh, authentic, & perfectly seasoned. Every dish was delicious & satisfying.
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic Turkish flavors, & beautifully presented. The service was warm & attentive, & the atmosphere made us feel truly welcome. Gunaydin is a place I would gladly return to & recommend without hesitation.
My wife & I came here for a romantic dinner & had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is fantastic-beautiful decor, great music, & a really warm ambience that sets the perfect mood.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started with aubergine meze & complementary fresh homemade bread Tzatziki & Tomato Ezme, which was a very nice touch. For our mains, we ordered the Adana Kebab & the Mixed Pide-both were cooked perfectly & full of flavor.
A huge highlight for me was the ice-cold Ayran drink; it was incredibly refreshing. We finished the evening perfectly with some Turkish tea & Kunefe.
We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning to come back, but next time we'll bring the kids to try the breakfast!
It might be busy on Friday & Saturday night so it's better to call 🤙 & reserve a spot to avoid waiting or not being able to visit the place.
I'll start by saying we went for brunch for the experience. The food is served in a beautiful contraption that comes with Turkish black tea. A wide variety of cheeses, fresh vegetables, eggs, olives & sweet jams. All was very good.
Weeks later we decided to try dinner takeaway. We ordered the grilled mix platter. A huge portion probably enough for
4 people even though its advertised for 2. Different types of charcoal cooked meats, bulgur, lots of salads, yogurt sauce & Turkish bread. Was a solid 10/10. Was so so good!!!
I did see reviews on a language barrier & I agree. The food however, is fantastic! Cannot wait to try more from their menu.
I recently visited this Turkish restaurant in Montreal & had a pretty mixed experience. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a seat, even though there were a few empty tables. The staff explained they were holding them for a bigger party with a reservation, which was a bit frustrating. Lesson learned: definitely reserve ahead of time.
Once we were finally seated, things turned around. The food was amazing-juicy, filling, & packed with flavor. The ambiance & decor were beautiful too, with a warm atmosphere that made the wait feel a little more worth it. It still doesn't fully compare to the experience I had back in Turkey, but honestly, I enjoyed every moment once we settled in.
Overall, great food & vibes-just make sure to book in advance!
Delicious food & excellent service. I Will definitely be coming back to try their night menu, as we had their breakfast brunch one today. Beautifully decorated to bring out the Turkish culture. Bravo to the owner for the concept he created!
I had brunch at Gunaydin Restaurant & it was amazing! The flavors took me right back to Turkey! From the fresh bread & pide to the delicious sharing plates. I loved the traditional Turkish tea pot in the center, such a special touch. The restaurant is beautiful, & the chandelier in the middle is definitely the highlight. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Turkish food & a great atmosphere!
Ate supper here last night with my husband, it was our first time having Turkish food. We were blown away by the hospitality & generosity! We are Avid foodies & this is the best service we have ever had in all of Canada. The manager or owner was so kind & answered all our questions & heave us not 1, but 2 free appetizers. & free tea with our dessert. The zipper alters kept checking in on us. Wow, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you very much, we will definitely be returning.
Update; returned for breakfast this morning with my mom. We were both blown away at the breakfast special for 2. Such a beautiful presentation & generous portion with tea! We also ordered their Turkish coffee (my first time having that) & loved it!

This was an unexpected surprise. In a good way. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy but there was a bit of a line to get in. First surprise. The decor & ambiance was beautiful & different & the settings & tables equally so. Very clean. It had a high end feel. Second surprise. That chandelier in the center is stunning & I was hoping it was well fastened to the ceiling because my daughter was sitting under it. When I asked about the cucumber yogurt appetizer, I was told that it was like tzatziki... yes but minus the garlic. That garlic makes a difference, at least for me. However, the bread that came with was outstanding. We were 7 & ordered two assorted grilled meat platters for 4. When asked if they could make one of them for 3, they did. The grilled meats were good. I thought the chicken was amazing. All the meats were grilled perfectly. Not overwhelmed with BBQ taste. The spices used were also excellent. All in all, nothing was too exotic for a North American pallet. Third surprise. The service was very good but I would add... very stealth & polite. We had no room for dessert & I can't remember if there even was any. We took doggy bags home. There was a lot of food on those platters. The only reason they are one star short of five is that they provide butter knives to cut meat... it was a bit of a struggle. If they change their knives or add serated versions, I'll change my rating & add a star.
Delicious, the restaurant itself was beautiful & clean, service was excellent, the food was delicious we ordered Adana kebab & lahmacun & both were perfectly done , I look forward to trying everything on their menu.
Overall experience was welcoming & the restaurant is beautiful. The food was decent but could use some work.
The adana kebab was very good but the chicken skewer isn't that great to be honest. It was chewy & was full of fat. Maybe use chicken breasts next time for your skewers. We also found the rice to be tasteless & the salad had a strong parsley taste to it. A bit is ok but too much is too much.
The desserts tasted good & fresh.
The one thing that shocked us was the pricing. 24.99 for a chicken skewer plate is pretty high. Most items are pretty expensive to be honest. We paid 250$ for 5 people & we were trying to not spend too much. 3.99 for a homemade ayran is very expensive. We can get a bottle of ayran for less at many places.
I've been living in Montreal for 10 years & have visited many restaurants. I can confidently say that the food & baklava I've had here are the best in Montreal! I'm a baklava enthusiast & have tried it at most baklava shops in Montreal. What I had in this restaurant is indescribable-so fresh & warm, served with a delicious tea. The owner is incredibly customer-oriented; he came to the tables to welcome us & asked for everyone's opinions about the restaurant & the food. The staff is excellent as well, & the restaurant's space is very large with beautiful decor & layout. I wouldn't get tired of coming here even every day. I will definitely return soon for breakfast, as this restaurant is famous for it!
