We were not very happy with this experience. The welcome was just okay, but the service left much to be desired. The waitresses were mostly busy chatting with what seemed to be regulars, & they didn't have the "Hmiss" or "Matloo" that we specifically came for. While the portions were generous, the prices were quite high-we paid $80 for two people & didn't feel it was worth it. Good parts: The Merguez were good, thanks to the butcher. The portions are indeed large. Bad parts: The service was minimal, & we had to ask them to clean the table when we sat down, as it hadn't been done. The prices were steep for what we received. They also brought out bread that wasn't fresh or freshly cut; one piece had clearly been started by a previous customer, & they didn't bother checking before serving it to us. Perhaps it just wasn't their best day. Despite this experience, we'll likely return, as the flavors & atmosphere brought back memories of Algeria.View more

Algerian cuisine is one I am not as familiar with, so this was a fresh experience for me. I don't eat in this part of the city often so I was delighted that the prices were better than what I normally see. There was a bit of a language barrier but not to a point of inconvenience. Service was amazing overall. The food here was so delicious, perfectly cooked skewers served with complimentary fresh, soft bread. Butcher quality meat. The sauces are flavourful too. They even blessed us with a complimentary lemon drink. Decor was not a strong point here but they did put some effort into it as well.View more
