L'endroit est bien, j'adore les 3 principes de l'entreprise. Propre, grand, table extérieure très bon service, même le propriétaire est gentil & on répond à vos questions avec soins.

Je tiens seulement à rajouter que la poutine que j'ai mangé est très bonne, mais il faut se calmer guys. Ce n'était pas la meilleur poutine.

La sauce est bonne oui! Très bon goût. C'est exactement ce qu'une poutine doit goûter.

Les frites était trop compacté & toute collé ensemble. je ne sais pas comment ils ont fait pour compacter autant les frite sans les écraser. (Problème de cuisson???)

Le fromage est vraiment bon & beaucoup beaucoup de squish squish dans chaque bouché. Par contre le fromage ne fondais pas du tout. Le fromage était vraiment ferme & ne voulait pas fondre. Il avait l'air fraîchement tranché. (Fromage trop froid?, fromage trop frais?) à cause du fromage qui ne fond pas, je considère la poutine overrated. Une deuxième visite un jour peut-être. j'ai peur de rester décu par contre.

We stopped in at Restaurant Gregoire & Fils in Mercier in June 2026, & despite the heavy construction in the area, the visit was still very smooth. The detours to reach the restaurant are clearly marked, & the signage makes it easy to find your way, even if you are coming off the highway. It's one of those places where you do need to expect some extra driving time, but the access is still straightforward & worth the effort.
The food was exactly what you hope for from a classic Quebec roadside stop. The poutine was excellent, with generous portions & that satisfying comfort-food flavor, & the burger was solid as well. Adding a drink makes it a great combo meal, especially if you want something filling without overcomplicating the order. The menu has a good old-school feel, & the whole experience fits the no-fuss, hearty roadside diner vibe.
The restaurant itself was clean & well kept, & the washroom was also clean, which is always a big plus when traveling. Overall, this is a convenient stop with easy highway access, good signage, & reliable comfort food. Even with the construction & detours, it remains a worthwhile place to pull over for a satisfying meal.

J'aime leur poutine avec le fromage en grain coupé en tranche, cela fond dans la bouche. Demander de ne pas'pacter' ben dur car sinon vous aurez de la misère à prendre des bouchées sans que cela se morcèle. Leur hamburger spécial est à tomber !
