Fantastic family-owned restaurant! The burgers were delicious, the poutine was outstanding, & the service was friendly & welcoming. You can really tell the owners take pride in what they do. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a great meal & excellent service!
We stopped in at Restaurant Gregoire & Fils in Mercier in June 2026, & despite the heavy construction in the area, the visit was still very smooth. The detours to reach the restaurant are clearly marked, & the signage makes it easy to find your way, even if you are coming off the highway. It's one of those places where you do need to expect some extra driving time, but the access is still straightforward & worth the effort.
The food was exactly what you hope for from a classic Quebec roadside stop. The poutine was excellent, with generous portions & that satisfying comfort-food flavor, & the burger was solid as well. Adding a drink makes it a great combo meal, especially if you want something filling without overcomplicating the order. The menu has a good old-school feel, & the whole experience fits the no-fuss, hearty roadside diner vibe.
The restaurant itself was clean & well kept, & the washroom was also clean, which is always a big plus when traveling. Overall, this is a convenient stop with easy highway access, good signage, & reliable comfort food. Even with the construction & detours, it remains a worthwhile place to pull over for a satisfying meal.

IF YOU WANT A MAYONNAISE SOUPE IN YOUR BURGER, ORDER THE SPECIAL BURGER... THE ONLY SPEACIAL THING ABOUT IT IS THE ENOURMOUS AMOUNT OF MAYO THEY PUT IN THE BURGER. OTHER THAN THAT, NOTHING SPEACIAL ABOUT IT
La premiere fois que j'ai commandé leur Burger SUPER JUMBO c'était a notre déménagement en 2008, j'avais oublié à quel point il est géant, encore plus quand on le place à côté du Special & de leur poutine B, entk super bon, mais je pense que je vais rester avec leur JUMBO. Fidèle client depuis 2008

Excellent choix de poutines & burgers etc. Bon service à mon arriver pour placer ma commande & aussi très rapide à reservoir un avis par pagette pour aller au comptoir le chercher. Ma poutine & mon burger étais les 2 chaud & delicieux. Le restaurant semble très propre & m'a éter recommander par un local
Décevant. Venu de Montréal, la nourriture n'était pas à la hauteur. Le bon : service rapide & efficace, grand espace avec beaucoup de places assises & de stationnement. Le mauvais : burgers gris de qualité industrielle avec des condiments trop sucrés. Vraiment mauvais. La poutine était correcte grâce à une quantité généreuse de fromage, mais avec une sauce industrielle préfabriquée. Pas à la hauteur de la réputation ni du déplacement.
First time I enjoyed the poutine. But this one was tasty with a good portion of chews & sauce. The burger finally tasted again as a burger should taste. Good grilled meat with big unions & vegetables. Loved it. Service is impeccable & friendly staff
