I wouldn't come out of my way for this, but if you're in the area & need a greasy spoon fix, this is the place to go to in this area. It still has the old diner feel to it, right down to the staff. Do not get the small portion of poutine, it's the size of a coleslaw. Better off getting a large & sharing it with others at the table.View more
La meilleure poutine à st Henri ça change pas depuis des siècles recettes originalesView more
I've been here for breakfast food & it was quite good, but in the night time the food is often just not good. The fries are clearly defrosted costco fries, the gravy is from powder. If they would at least make their own fries that would go a long way to making the whole restaurant a lot better given that half the menu is literally based around French fries.View more
Good food for reasonable prices & big portions
I personally like their all dressed pizza with extra mushrooms. From the small I was able to eat half. The other half took it away for my lunch tomorrow.View more
The overall experience was amazing!
Jacky is by far one of the most amazing service people I have ever encountered. Thank you for an amazing breakfast experience!View more
Terrible handling of ingredients, concerns of cleanliness. They mess up the orders every time. The ingredients are old & stale. Worst fast food in Montreal without a doubt
There was some confusion with the outdoor menu, that's just for take out, if you want to dine in, you will receive a more extended menu, but the 76 anniversary combos are just for take out. The potatoes fries were a little bit greasy, it had a resemblance to five guy's french fries & I thought the combo burger was a cheeseburger, but the meat was very good.View more
Incroyablement délicieux, hyper bonne portion, pour un prix hyper raisonnable, j'y retourne ce soir... j'ai hâte...View more
Nice place for those who are hungry. Big portions & good smocked meet. Polite service. A bit too old fashioned but it was a good experienceView more
I loooove this place & have been here many times. The food is always spot on (it’s a classic greasy spoon, so good comfort food) & the atmosphere is endearingly nostalgic (chalkboard menu, pickled vegetables in mason jars, jukebox). HOWEVER, I’m giving this 3 stars today, September 3, because the cashier overcharged us. The receipt from the waitress had the total at 36$, the cashier put 42$, & with the 15% tip (which the waitress, Jacky, deserved) it came to 48$ — a good 12$ difference!!! This has never happened in all the times we’ve been to the Greenspot (again, love this place) but today definitely tainted the experience. I don’t think we’ll be back for a while 😞
ETA: I just read the other recent reviews & apparently this isn’t an isolated incident. The cashier is the short young girl with very curly hair in double buns. She needs disciplinary consequences to her actions — she is cheating your customers!!!View more
Super classic place serving super classic Montreal specialties. Some of the poutine was very salty in a not pleasant way but others were tasty. You sort of get what you expect, nothing more & nothing lessView more
An authentic original Montreal diner experience.View more
