Had a great experience here. I had the burger & poutine - the burger was really, really good, & the poutine was solid, no complaints. What really stood out was the service - the place was packed when we came in, but the guy working there still managed to find us a table & was super cool about it. The vibe is also awesome - it's got that classic diner feel with little jukebox machines on the tables. Just a cool spot all around. Definitely worth checking out.View more

The Classique is a perfect poutine with dark rich gravy & perfectly squeaky cheese curds. Best gravy in town. I would recommend the medium smoked meat sandwich also. This is a wonderful place to have classic Québécois comfort food in an authentic diner that reminds you of the 50's, including the little juke boxes at every table, the booth style seats, paper place mats & fountain drinks. Top notch for late late night food, but there's not a lot of competition. I wouldn't bring a guest. As a diner during the day, it's middling. The fries are inconsistent. I was trying to show someone a proper Quebec poutine & it was a fail, but I've had decent ones from here. That all sounds pretty negative. Let me end with: this is 1000x better than chains & if you want a steamy or classic diner fare you cannot go wrong.View more

Came here for breakfast. It was relatively early on a Sunday so there was plenty of free street parking & also no lineup to get a table. Service was great & the waitress was very quick & attentive. The food is priced very competitively & tasted descent. The kids menu pancake was somewhat thick to our taste. The decor is like a classic diner & I think they should keep it this way. I love the look of this place, a classic diner with old jukeboxes & booths. Limited gluten-free options but the server bent over backwards to find me options. I really like the old-timey feel of this restaurant. Even though it tends to be quite busy on weekends you never have to wait for more than a few minutes. Their food is classic diner food, greasy, cheap, & delicious :) the waitstaff are friendly enough & the food arrives quite fast. Their poutines are a must try!View more
