This review is for Luca - he consistently goes above & beyond in what he does, he's courteous, professional, knowledgeable & is a people person.
Luca recently helped us cater our civil wedding - & went above & beyond, thinking of us & alleviating any stressors. The food was appreciated by our guests & was more than enough - there was nothing left. Luca, thank you x 1000000.
Needless to say, we love Greektown grill DDO - the food is incredible, fresh, tasty, & always hits the mark - but most importantly; we are always treated with kindness, cared for, & we leave feeling like we just dined with family - because of Luca & the team.
We will continue to visit this establishment for years to come.
We ordered in last night, & the food was phenomenal! Finally, there is an amazing Greek restaurant on the West Island.
Update.
We ordered last night again & wow!!! When our food arrived i was in shock. The Greek fries were tasty, but there were maybe 10 fries, only 1/2 a cup of rice & as for the Souvlaki it was fantastic as usual!
Too bad, I had great faith in the quality & service here, unfortunately once the initial opening has passed, like all other restaurants it's gone down hill.
So we ordered tonight & unfortunately we were sadly disappointed. The quality has gone down hill. I ordered a Pita & it was dull, tasteless & looked empty. Last time I ordered.
We had such a great experience eating here! The food was absolutely delicious! The pita bread was fresh & soft, the chicken was flavorful & cooked perfectly, & the tzatziki was spot on. Even the fries were amazing! We also ordered the soup of the day : a beef barley & vegetable soup & our little one devoured it! It was so tasty that we mentioned it to (what I believe was) the owner, & he was incredibly kind & even offered us some extra to take home. Such thoughtful service! The waiter was also super attentive, & everything about the experience felt warm & welcoming. I didn't get a chance to take more photos, but I have to say the calamari was fresh, crispy, & tender. Absolutely 💯. Highly recommend!
I have recently traveled to Greece & eaten a lot of real Greek food. In Montreal, I have also eaten at many of the Greek restaurants that consider themselves'authentic'.
This is not authentic. I find that it's geared towards the North American palate.
I had a lunch special that consisted of a pork Souvlaki Pita, Greek lemon potato wedges, a salad, & a soft drink. The potatoes were very good, the salad was ok, the Souvlaki not so much. The cubes of pork were tiny but tasty, there was hardly any tomato & all I asked for was no onion & tziziki on the side. The pita was pretty empty.
My friend, who recommended this place because she eats there often, had the Moussaka. She liked it.
Will I go back? Probably not. There are lots of Greek restaurants that are better.
Came with a friend of mine around dinner time yesterday.
John our server was good. Friendly & nice towards us. He is a happy good person & talks good English.
The Pita Gyro pork was tasty & the chicken on a stick was cooked nice.
Rice & roasted potatoes was good as well. The Feta Lettuce salad was good as well. I finished all of the plates.
Rice & Roasted potatoes looked small portions but it was enough to fill your hunger.
Washroom was cleaned & well maintained as well.
Would love to try again in the near future.
God Bless you all. God Bless the customers & staff who make it what it is.
A great addition to the West Island. Reservations were required & the staff did a great job of getting us seated on-time & taking our order. Order was prepared exactly as desired & the food arrived hot & tasty. Once again, the staff was very, very nice! Highly Recommended!
I absolutely cannot get enough of this resto! The food is so tasty & delicious. I've ordered take out & eaten in house & both are amazing. Food is always on point & the service is always so friendly & efficient. Our waiter Luca was awesome & the owner George came by to check on our table. Everyone was so welcoming & hospitable. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food at a great price. 100% worth it ❤?
Amazing dining experience at Greektown Grill DDO ! Went for a late lunch & had the most delicious pork gyro loose meat ever ! Chicken souvlaki stick was tender & flavorable, & Tia-Yia's Greek potatoes were super tasty &!plentiful. We also ordered some taramosalata dip, which went perfectly with their toasted bread & potatoes. For a finale, we sampled their walnut cake which was served with ample honey & cinnamon, & a scoop of ice cream. What a great feast for a Thursday afternoon ! Fantastic fast & friendly service from Peter, & a warm welcome from manager Costa. On previous visits, we've had excellent lamb chops & their deep fried zucchini appetizer. Definitely worth multiple visits 👍

WOW, what a great place. Today we decided to try Greektown Grill DDO on my birthday, for the first time. Food was amazing . I ordered the chicken, it was juicy & tender, very well marinated & tasty. The lemon potato melts in the mouth & very delicious. Service was fast. The place is neat & clean & staff are super friendly & polite. The gentleman serving us noticed it's my birthday & he surprised me with a nicely decorated piece of cake topped with ice cream & a candle. I forgot to ask his name. It was a great gesture, you made my day. A big THANK YOU. I recommend this place 100%& I will go back definitely. I hope you lots of success in your business. Bravo everyone. Keep up the good work.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Everything was delicious from our salads to our main meals - gyro pita sandwich, grilled chicken breast served with tasty roasted lemony patatoes, rice & tzatiziki. Excellent customer service too. *forgot to take pics 🙄* I definitely recommend Greektown Grill DDO. My only complaint I didn't see any handicap parking spot, & the parking lot in general is a little tight. My mum also commented that the music is a tad loud, especially if you're like her & have a hearing problem. Came back again - Greektown is my new favorite West Island restaurant. This time we had gyro plate (loose meat) & pork chops once again everything was perfect. All the plates so far have very generous portions- we took leftovers home to enjoy later. The restaurant is on the cozy side & at times can get rather busy from what I heard from friends. I tend to go in middle of the afternoon as it's less busy then. *edit the pics of the salads are after we already started digging into them*
I want to preface this by mentioning that I've been to the Laval location a couple of times & it's been great, but I guess the new West Island location is going through some startup issues. We visited for a late lunch/early dinner & were one of two tables in the restaurant at first. We ordered an appetizer & two plates. We were given our side salad & soup relatively quickly but then the service came to a near stand still. While other tables that came & ordered after us were eating, the appetizer never came out nor were we ever served any table bread. When our plates finally came out after nearly 20 minutes, the food was luke warm to warm at best. We mentioned the missing appetizer & still requested it, & hoped it would have come out piping hot, but it was even colder than the main meal. After we finished eating, it took another 10 minutes to acknowledge that we were done & would like our bill. There was only one other waiter on the floor & he was zipping around all over. In all honesty, we could have mentioned the temperature of the food when eating, but it would have been silly having to mention it for nearly every item we ordered other than the salad. Their food is tasty & of quality, but a restaurant should be about the whole experience.
New to the West Island. Thought the food would be the same as most Greek restaurants here. The "house" salad was delicious with a bit of dill. Nice & interesting twist. I probably could have made a meal out of it. The fried zucchini was tasty & so different than the usual plating. We couldn't even finish it. The combo gyro plate was super tender & seasoned wonderfully. The food was really amazing. I would definitely recommend & go back again.
