Je suis allé au Gibeau Orange Julep pour découvrir ce lieu emblématique de Montréal. C'est un endroit surtout familial, parfait pour une sortie avec des enfants. La nourriture est correcte, mais franchement trop coûteuse pour ce que c'est - on paie surtout pour l'expérience & le côté iconique de la grosse orange.
Le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas au rendez-vous, d'où ma note de 2.5 étoiles. Je ne pense pas y retourner, sauf peut-être un jour si j'ai des enfants à qui faire découvrir l'endroit.
I should have known this place wasn't worth the hype the moment I noticed almost everyone inside was a tourist. We seemed to be the only locals…& I can see why. We came because my sister-in-law saw someone on social media claim it was the best poutine in the city. I wish she remembered which influencer, because that recommendation clearly isn't worth trusting.
The food itself? Pure fast-food level. The poutine was strictly mid-tier, & none of the three of us walked away impressed. The only point of debate was the orange juice. My companions found it decent (not amazing, just decent). I thought it tasted like sugar water with a token splash of orange. To be fair, they're the type who drink Pepsi like it's tap water, so heavily sweetened, artificial flavors appeal to them in a way I'll never understand.
If that sounds like your taste, then maybe this place will work for you. But if you're looking for genuinely good poutine or fresh juice, save your time.
It is really good experienced to enjoy fresh squeeze oranges juice. It is worth to enjoy while going montreal . Even my friends tried poutine which was classic poutine ( vegetarian)
Le jus d'orange est vraiment original & plutôt bon...le reste c'est du fasto food très classique..on a été embêté par des guêpes très agressives durant tout le repas..A faire juste parce c'est mythique. si vous n'êtes pas allé..pas grave..
it's an obligation to go every time I'm in town. love it. not the healthiest food but gobble gobble good. Unfortunately that's in the past. Today, your lucky if you get poisoned
The Julep drink is good, cheeseburger was less so. Had mustard pickles onions & relish after saying to put everything on it. Asked for a side of gravy & never got it. Place is swarming in wasps. $50 for two cheeseburger trios.
The Orange Julep is too sweet for some people but it's a wonderful thirst-quenching treat for everyone else. Their fries are fantastic & worth every penny as well as every calorie! The rest of their food isn't quite as awesome as their fries but you won't be disappointed. If you have the late night munchies or you're just craving comfort food at 3am, the Orange Julep will satisfy your needs!
Came expecting the best freshly squeezed orange juice, tastes more like a few melted orange creamsicles or Orange Julius, not amazing worth the visit to see the orange.
Service was fast & friendly, only issue with the atmosphere is the slightly dirty washrooms when I came
Their famous orange drink recipe is such a closely guarded secret that they wouldnt tell me if there's dairy in it or not. So i guess ill never know what im missing. For those with any food intolerances or allergies, probably best to skip it, just to be safe

J'ai pris un jus d'orange qui n'était pas de la couleur orange d'ailleurs, mais jaune pâle. J'ai gouté une gorgée. A vrai dire, je ne pourrais pas vous dire ce que c'est, il est parti à la poubelle. Pour un petit déjeuner light ce n'est pas conseillé. Pour les amateurs de gras, vous êtes à la bonne porte. Le 17 Juin 2025.
Mainly go for the special orange juice they sell. Everything else is very average or below average. Having parking is a plus. Service is very bad/staff is very unfriendly. Outdoor tables are there but no shades.
