About

Gibeau Orange Julep serves as a legendary roadside landmark defined by its oversized orange sphere architecture. The menu focuses on classic casse-croute staples including thick-cut fries and hearty burgers prepared for quick service. Its signature offering is the creamy, secret-recipe orange drink, a distinct citrus nectar that anchors the entire culinary identity of the establishment. Patrons consume these meals within a sprawling parking lot that retains a vintage mid-century atmosphere. The operational model prioritizes efficient delivery of high-calorie comfort foods without the need for traditional table service. Review Summary

Gibeau Orange Julep is widely regarded as an iconic Montreal landmark, primarily celebrated for its unique giant orange architecture and its legendary, creamy signature orange drink. Many visitors find the atmosphere nostalgic and retro, often enjoying the lively environment where car and bike enthusiasts frequently gather. While the signature beverage is a major draw for its distinct, sweet, and creamy flavor profile, opinions on the food are mixed; some patrons praise the hot dogs and poutine as classic comfort food, while others find the menu overpriced and the quality inconsistent. Service is generally described as efficient and quick, though experiences with staff friendliness vary. Despite some criticisms regarding high prices and the presence of wildlife in outdoor eating areas, the establishment remains a must visit destination for those seeking a quintessential Montreal experience.

I love drinking orange juice, I love it freshly squeezed but also 100% or from concentrated. I was excited to go to this spot as I was staying across the street. I bought one large for me & one medium & one frozen for my kids, unfortunately they all ended in the garbage. It tasted like 10% orange juice & 90% water with sugar. I didn't try the food but honestly the worst orange juice I've ever tried which is extremely disappointing in a landmark like this.

I was also upset about the reviews. Unfortunately I just saw the 4.2 stars & didn't realized how many are written by bots. Truly disappointing.

Definitely a must-visit when you're in Montreal, especially if you're visiting from out of province. Their famous orange juice was fresh, cold, & really tasty.

Service was quick & the staff were friendly. Plus, the giant orange building itself makes the stop worth it. Definitely one of those classic Montreal spots you have to experience at least once!

The drink & the hotdogs are nostalgic for me, but every time I go the poutine is below average. If you're visiting from elsewhere, trust me, you'll get better poutine almost anywhere else!

Montreal is full of really cool places to eat & this is at the tops. The orange Julep is so good, but no matter what you think don't get a 2nd one. I thought I could handle it & it filledw up for the rest of the day lol. The dogs were great as well as the poutine.

Leur fameux jus d'orange Julep est vraiment excellent. Ça vaut le détour. Au moins pour essayer. L'endroit est kitsch & situé dans un secteur affreux, mais ça fait partie de l'expérience.
