I haven't been there since 2016, but I can tell you the food quality was better back then. Crabcakes have plenty of crab, but a bit salty, grilled shrimp a tad overcooked, filet medium rare NOT medium as asked. Sat down at 6:40 pm, & didn't get main course till 8:10 pm. Much too slow on the service, but awesome waiter though! Very glad we had a gift certificate or I would have been quite unhappy with the whole thing. Not what it used to be, shame.Voir plus

The food is always excellent. However, we were seated upstairs (1st time ever), & the noise level was deafening. We were 7 & couldn't hear each other. I don't know how the waiters do it. So, good food, but not a great evening of conversation.Voir plus

Gibbys was absolutely outstanding in every facet - food, service, atmosphere - nothing left unturned.
The bone-in fillet is out of this world delicious, the most savory fillet I've ever had, & Isabelle's service was outstanding & made our visit so much more special.

Étions des clients de longue date fidèles. Notre dernière expérience était décevante : la viande n'était pas de bonne qualité, ce n'était pas difficile de le goûter, la portion de salade réduite, le service expéditif, trop trop rapide. Went to Gibbys Monday April 14 for my partners birthday, amazing service from the second we stepped in. Got sat at Vitaly's Table he gave us the most amazing experience we could've asked for. Safe to say for me, that during my breif time on this world, & the limited number of restaurants I have visited during that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, it is legitimately the best restaurant experience I have ever had. Nothing was wrong with my experience, even as a solo visitor my experience was top notch. Everyone should ensure they visit this restaurant if they ever have a trip to Montreal! With the new ownership & menu Gibby's has lost its Lustre. The menu is not nearly as varied, the salad has slipped in quality & the service is not the same experienced crew that I loved. The dessert was actually stale. I would recommend RibnReef as the premier Steakhouse. I would only go back if you are looking for the old Montreal experienceVoir plus

Nice ambiance steakhouse near Old Town Montreal. It's an old converted horse stable. Very cozy with fireplaces. My steak dish was okay but not as impressive as I had expected. Very good wine list & attentive service.

Dès notre arrivé dans ce lieu historique jusqu'à la prise en charge de notre serveuse Cynthia, l'arrivé de notre nourriture & la fin de notre repas, l'expérience a été exceptionnelle. L'ambiance est unique, le service excellent & quoi dire de la nourriture! La salade gibbys, buratta, cowboy steak & la patate toute garnie débordaient de saveur! Notre serveuse s'est assurée qu'on ne manquait de rien, du début à la fin, & a même pris la peine de nous prendre en photo polaroid. Après avoir fait plusieurs steakhouse à Montréal, je peux dire sans équivoque que mon expérience au gibbys est de loin la meilleure & la plus mémorable!
