J'y suis allée avec deux amies pour souper le samedi soir. Nous avons pris le filet mignon en table d'hôte & des pâtes. Les repas étaient super bons & le service rapide & chaleureux! J'y retournerai définitivement bientôt!
J'aimais bien venir manger à ce resto mais vendredi passé on a attendu 55min pour notre assiette (pâtes & un steak) donc rien de compliqué. Puis le serveur nous avait dit que le steak était brûlé donc c'était pas vrai. En plus la soupe était avec plein du sel donc jai pas pu manger. Jaimerais quils réalisent que personne peut attendre autant de temps a manger mais je ne sais pas s'il sont ouvert pour du feed-back. En plus des gens à côté arrive après nous ont été servis avant …
Ce n'est pas la première fois que j'y vais. Tout est toujours succulent, que ce soit la pizza, les burgers ou les pâtes. Cette fois j'ai pris des linguines alfredo. J'ai déjà dit autour de moi comment la sauce est vraiment bonne. J'ai déjà emmené avec moi plusieurs personnes & tout le monde ont apprécié leur repas.

Victime de leur succès? Ou tout simplement mauvais? Plus d'une heure d'attente pour 2 burgers qui étaient pas mauvais mais rien de wow non plus. Présentation de l'assiette zéro, saveurs pas vraiment au rendez-vous, qualité des aliments ok. On apprécie un resto avec un menu aussi varié (pâtes, pizza, burgers, grillades, poisson fruits de mer, + une table d'hôte) mais on se fait dire qu'ils ne sont que deux en cuisine pour tout faire. C'est le problème du client parce que...? Au moins ca n'a pas couté cher.
In the spirit of fair play & out of respect to the restaurants who survived Quebec's draconian lock-down measures during covid, I've decided never to smack talk a resto without looking at the big picture first. There's plenty to like about Bistro Garage: a tall frosty glass of Peroni on the hottest day of the year was just what I needed, & was served promptly by an efficient bartender. This is the type of place where locals go, & sitting at the bar it's easy to see why, The staff is friendly & seem to know many of the customers, at least on the day I was there, & good vibes where in abundance. I only wish the burger I ordered was as generous as the kind service & smiling locals. Sadly, paltry portions served on a lackluster plate seems to be the norm in "la belle province". I really don't understand it. Montreal is a place that has been re-birthed from its humble roots of hot dogs, poutines, tourtières & pâté chinois, into a centre de la gastronomie widely acknowledged for some truly stellar dining experiences. Now, clearly this is not a Michelin dining experience nor is it trying to be, but you would think .. & hope! ... there would be more pride in what's served at the le garage & other slightly bobo yet still accessible establishments like it. A small-ish burger served with a scant handful of of previously frozen shoe-string fries thrown on the plate doesn't inspire much, & certainly doesn't live up to the great decor & overall jovial ambiance of the place. Jeez, even a sprig of parsley would be an improvement over the bone dry offering that left me feeling sad & depressed & yes, hungry! I was quickly snapped out of my pit of gloom by a bagpipe group parading down Wellington & all was good in the world again. I'll be back, but next time I'll skip the burger.
J'ai pris le plat de pâtes à la carbonara & sincèrement j'en salive encore même 4 jours plus tard. J'y retourne pour essayer le reste du menu c'est certain. 😀
Mon restaurant favori pour le rapport qualité-prix. Le menu très varié peut satisfaire tous les goûts que ça soit pour le filet mignon, les poissons frais, les moules en passant par les pâtes & les burgers, pizzas & frites. Tout est absolument délicieux. J'adore leur concept de menu table d'hôte très abordable avec des créations nouvelles à chaque semaine. Le prix est parmi les plus raisonnable en ville & il inclu un choix de salade ou soupe maison ainsi que le dessert & un café savoureux. Un endroit à découvrir avec une belle ambiance & un service rapide & personnalisé.
