Charmant bistro branché & très bien aménagé, situé dans un beau quartier de Verdun, tout juste à côté de la rue cool & piétonnière (pendant la belle saison) Wellington. Non seulement la cuisine est excellente mais les propriétaires sont très sympathiques & les prix sont très abordables comparés à la majorité des restaurants maintenant. J'y retournerai souvent c'est certain!

In the spirit of fair play & out of respect to the restaurants who survived Quebec's draconian lock-down measures during covid, I've decided never to smack talk a resto without looking at the big picture first. There's plenty to like about Bistro Garage: a tall frosty glass of Peroni on the hottest day of the year was just what I needed, & was served promptly by an efficient bartender. This is the type of place where locals go, & sitting at the bar it's easy to see why, The staff is friendly & seem to know many of the customers, at least on the day I was there, & good vibes where in abundance. I only wish the burger I ordered was as generous as the kind service & smiling locals. Sadly, paltry portions served on a lackluster plate seems to be the norm in "la belle province". I really don't understand it. Montreal is a place that has been re-birthed from its humble roots of hot dogs, poutines, tourtières & pâté chinois, into a centre de la gastronomie widely acknowledged for some truly stellar dining experiences. Now, clearly this is not a Michelin dining experience nor is it trying to be, but you would think .. & hope! ... there would be more pride in what's served at the le garage & other slightly bobo yet still accessible establishments like it. A small-ish burger served with a scant handful of of previously frozen shoe-string fries thrown on the plate doesn't inspire much, & certainly doesn't live up to the great decor & overall jovial ambiance of the place. Jeez, even a sprig of parsley would be an improvement over the bone dry offering that left me feeling sad & depressed & yes, hungry! I was quickly snapped out of my pit of gloom by a bagpipe group parading down Wellington & all was good in the world again. I'll be back, but next time I'll skip the burger.
An absolute gem! We sat outside, & I loved it. The Filet de saumon grillé nappé d'un yogourt grec aux herbes fraîches & concombres (grilled salmon fillet topped with Greek yogurt, fresh herbs, & cucumbers), served with vegetable pilaf rice (26 CAD), was a true delight. The salmon was perfectly grilled, & the yogurt-herb sauce was a refreshing twist. The Bruschettas (8 CAD) were a fantastic start, & the soup was simply delicious. Despite the generous portions, I couldn't have been happier trying everything. Each dish was gloriously amazing. To top it all off, I enjoyed a coffee with a piece of something sweet that was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I also liked that they served us water, too. Bistro Garage Cafe offers not just food, but a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
J'ai récemment visité le Bistro Garage Café & j'ai été absolument ravi par l'expérience. Les moules frites étaient délicieuses, parfaitement assaisonnées & cuites à la perfection. Pour accompagner mon repas, j'ai choisi une bière locale qui était tout simplement excellente, avec une saveur riche qui complétait à merveille les moules. Le service était également impeccable : rapide, courtois & attentif sans être envahissant. Je recommande vivement ce bistro pour un repas décontracté mais raffiné. Un vrai plaisir culinaire !"

Très belle découverte ce soir au bistro garage café tout était très bon bon service le tartare de saumon épicé était succulent le steak ,les moules bref ça vaut le détour ! Beau choix de vin ,menu varié ,personnel & propriétaire très sympathique ! Vous serez pas déçu!
Nous avons découvert un petit bijou de bistrot, un vrai coup de coeur. La qualité de la nourriture est excellente & que dire du service d'Emilie qui est impeccable.
Un bon bistro de milieu de semaine. Le menu est assez intéressant. J'y ai pris le burger "Intégral" : il est excellent ! Dans les entrées les nachos & les bruschetas sont très bon aussi. Il manque de bières québécoises, mais je sais que ça peut être compliqué d'en obtenir. Le service est super !

Accueil chaleureux, décor sympathique, Ben & le personnel attentionné, choix varié au menu (Bistro), excellente bouffe. En résumé très belle expérience... j'y retourne & recommande 😀
Cheeseburger: Encore un autre bistro qui veut respecter la règle du MAPAQ, soit de cuire la galette de boeuf 'bien cuite'. Résultat: Désagréable en bouche vu la Viande hyper sèche & sans goût. Même le Chef m'a dit qu'il préfère la cuisson médium-saignant... mais seulement quand il l'a cuit chez lui à la maison. Les frites étaient superbement dorées & croustillantes.
Service: Ca pris plus de 20 minutes avant de recevoir mon plat & ce, malgré qu'il y avait moins de 10 personnes dans le resto. Service correct... mais lent & nonchalant.
