Fuwa Fuwa is described as a standout for ultra-light Japanese and soufflé pancakes, croffles, and decadent desserts, with many praising the airy textures, delicate flavors like tiramisu and pistachio, and the visually appealing presentations; the robot server adds a playful element that some find charming while others view as a gimmick. The menu items frequently highlighted include the tiramisu and matcha pancakes and the Basque cheesecake, though some experiences note eggy or undercooked pancakes, uneven fillings, or portions that feel small for the price. Wait times are a dominant theme, as made to order pancakes can take longer than expected, and in busy times service can feel slow or disorganized. Cleanliness and atmosphere receive mixed reviews, with some calling the space cozy and Instagram friendly and others reporting dirty tables or bathrooms and cramped layouts that hamper comfort. Service quality varies, with many staff described as friendly and attentive, while others encounter monotone or inattentive service or language barriers. Overall Fuwa Fuwa seems to be a popular dessert destination worth trying for pancake lovers who have time to spare and are open to premium pricing, but it may not satisfy those seeking quick service, consistent value, or a calmer dining experience.
Friendly & efficient service with well-made creative soufflé & coffee. I am very satisfied with the taste of my orders & the neat environment at this place.

The pancakes were really good! I also loved the yuzu refresher :) the only problem was how sweet was the mango latte, I usually don't mind sweet drinks but this was like drinking pure sugar with milk.
The matchu tiramisu pancake is soft & fluffy with pretty nice presentation. The mango cheesecake is just average quality & lacks of mango flavour. All cold drinks have too much ice on it. Please clean the washroom more often & find a way to get rid of those flies.i also saw customer cleanup the tables by themselves.

The Japanese Pancakes at Fuwa Fuwa are out of this world. Soft, Fluffy, freshly made & extremely flavorful.
We had Pistachio Pancake & Tiramisu Pancake. Both were excellent but personally, I like the pistachio one. It may take a while to be prepared but it's well worth the wait.
The best part is the pancakes are delivered to your table by a lovely robot.
If you're in Montreal, this is definitely a place to visit & these Japanese pancakes are a must have - Never miss.
Belle expérience culinaire mon premier pancake japonais c'est trop leger la crème est delicieuse j ai aimé mais 7ne fois tu le finit tu te sens pleine hhhhhh je recommande
Le service client est parfait !
If you are planning to go to FUWA FUWA on Ste Catherine & you are in a hurry, then don't. While the cakes look delicious, the wait time is just painfully troublesome. The lineup is huge & everything is slow & lethargic. There is absolutely no sense of urgency.
I had the Tiramisu Matcha for just over $20 & it took 39 minutes from the time I ordered.
However, if you have extra time to kill, then this might be a different story. The cakes are prepared on the spot, at least the ones that we had ordered.
The texture is indeed soft & fluffy but you end up feeling full, even though it is not rich & fatty.
It's worth a try, but there are other similar type bakeries not too far from this one, & definitely cheaper.
The hype here is that the cake looks different & once you have tried it, then you move on.
What I do not like is the published prices (or lack thereof) as I am accustomed to look at a menu (either the name or picture or both) with a price next to it. Here there is just a name & a picture with no price. I have to ask the teller who had no clue & had to look it up. This can get stressful when there are people in line after me.
Seating inside is limited & paid parking on some side roads.

Little pricey, but good quality. Tiramisu was a little heavy handed in the powder on top resulting in bitterness if you didn't remove some, but some may prefer the contrast.
Coffee was good.
Robot waiter is a gimmick that is cute but fails in utility. Stops on the wrong side of the table so you have to stand up & walk over to get your dishes.
