I visited Fuwa Fuwa recently, & while the food was genuinely delicious - especially the Japanese pancakes - a few things really took away from the overall experience.
I ordered an oolong tea, but the cup I received was dirty. I had to ask for it to be replaced, which the staff did, but it left a bit of a bad impression. On top of that, the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't great. The bathroom area, in particular, really needs attention - it was quite unpleasant.
The open kitchen concept is cool because you get to see how the pancakes are made, but the noise from the machines was overwhelming. I had brought a book to do some reading, thinking it would be more of a relaxed café environment, but it was far too loud to concentrate.
Overall, the food was great, but the cleanliness & ambiance need improvement for a better customer experience.View more

I had a great experience at Fuwa Fuwa. The pancakes were excellent-light, fluffy, & full of flavor. The café au lait was delicious & paired perfectly with the meal. I also tried the raspberry cheesecake, & it was absolutely delightful. Highly recommend!View more

Very good service. Came in tuesday at 6:00 pm & the first thing I noticed is that the cashier was very helpful & smiley. She helped me a lot to make a choice & kept suggesting their best sellers . Also I ordered three stuffs two pancakes one salty & a tiramisu pancake & one more croffle all i can say is MASTERPIECE . Got them all together so I didn't have to wait for too long & the girl in the decoration area was very sweet & very nice. I highly recommend this place they make the best matcha drink eveView more

Our first visit in January was a pleasant experience. The cashier was friendly & took the time to explain the menu. The pancakes were delicious.
However, our second visit on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, around 2 PM, left much to be desired.
The woman at the cashier spoke in a monotone voice, giving the impression that she wasn't particularly engaged or interested in being there. Despite this, we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt & still left a tip, especially considering the high menu prices & the minimal service provided.
When we went to pick up our pancakes & asked a curly haired male staff member a question, he seemed uninterested in offering any helpful response.
We ordered the Matcha pancake, & honestly, it was rather bland. We were expecting a much more flavorful dish, especially given the price we paid for it.
Needless to say, after this experience, we're not inclined to return.View more

The matcha pancakes were so bland. There was no flavour & was barely salvaged by the matcha sauce that came wiith it. The Basque cheesecake on the other hand was great. Get the original flavour. The mango flavour was almost undercooked.View more

It's a nice place & was great experience. The staff was too busy to however chat between them instead of welcoming us, but that's ok no big deal. It's a bit overhyped, overpriced & the pancakes feel like they drown in creaminess. The robot was awesome.View more

Absolutely amazing fluffy clouds of goodness! We went just before 8pm on a Saturday & got our pancakes within 15 minutes with great service from super nice cashier. Came at just the right time because right when we sat down to wait, crowds of people came in. Our little one loved the serving robot! We are in Montreal all the time for work & will definitely be going back!View more

It was okay at best. The fluffy pancakes doesn't have that vanilla custard taste but is more like flour & egg.
I do better at home following YouTube videos. Not coming back here

What a lovely experience. First of all, we were welcomed by very sweet & helpful employees explaining to us the different dishes. There are many options both sweet & savoury. Eve Turing is made fresh as we order that explains the 20 minutes wait (that they warn you before even ordering). The soufflé pancakes were heavenly fluffy, generously topped & super flavourful. The croffles were massives, crispy & again, generously topped. The whipped cream is amazing. Thick & not too sweet. Portions are very big too. I first tried Fuwa Fuwa in Toronto in 2022 & loved it-so I was thrilled when one opened in Montreal! I've already visited twice, & both times, the experience has been amazing. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly, & the food quality is consistently great. So far, I've tried the tiramisu, crème brûlée, nutella, & classic. While they're all delicious, you can't go wrong with the classic: it's a must-try! The space is also well-designed with plenty of seating options, which makes it a comfortable spot to enjoy these fluffy pancakes. ✨️View more

Tout ce que j'ai testé était bon surtout le croiffle qu'on voit en image les pancakes bien fluffy! Tout était parfait, la texture, le goût, vraiment un régal. Le service était agréable (un gentil monsieur de la caisse m'a fait monté mes plats en haut car j'étais avec enfant )& l'équipe a rapidement corrigé le fait que certains clients se plaignaient du service en anglais uniquement. The food here is absolutely delicious! The pancakes are so beautifully decorated, you almost don't want to eat them. They clearly put a lot of care & attention into each dish. My only complaint is that the service is a bit slow. We waited quite a while for our food to arrive, so hopefully they can work on speeding things up a bit in the kitchen.View more
