Not sure how to eat xiaolongbao properly😅 we ordered different kinds (beef onion veggies mushrooms) fried & steamed, also wonton soup, & chicken noodles, all yummm!
We went there for lunch today. Everything was delicious. Their soup dumplings are the best we have tried in the city so far. The chili sauce used for their braised chicken is truly addictive.
extremely authentic soup dumplings, coming from both my grandparents who ate with us here & approved of them. they even thought the dumplings were even better than some places back in China! very juicy, delicately handmade soup dumplings. the wontons were also really delicious. it is a bit crowded in the tiny restaurant, & there was a 10-15 minute wait time.
The dumplings are amazing & tasty! I definitely recommend the soup dumpling with pork & hairy crab 😋. It's quite busy as their food is delicious so be a bit patient I will come back 🫶🏻
Absolutely loved it Came here with a small group of 7 friends. Got served immediatly, so fast that I didn't even realize we were already assigned a seat. Server was very patient with us, very kind & fast. We got a bunch of soup dumplings, pork, sweet pork (Absolutely amazing), beef, unknown flavor but it was in a soup, & the broth was delicious. Also the whole time they played a Cowboys Fringant album, which doesn't fit the atmosphere of an asian food restaurant, but I loved it, Cowboys Fringants is a great Québécois band that I love with all my heart. I don't even have pictures of the food since we just inhaled everything. Also first time I've ever had cucumber salad, & I love it! I love everything!! I am 100% coming back. :)
Great place that I chanced upon. Food is solid & hits the spot. Friendly staff & pleasant atmosphere. Everything feels fresh. Dumplings are especially good, full of meat & enough soup to taste good but not explode & burn.
Very cute homey restaurant with Shanghainese cuisine. Soup dumplings: we took the classic pork & the pork/shrimp. They were both very good. The only sauce that was provided was a type of vinegar with ginger & soy sauce on the table. Maybe it's the traditional Shanghai dipping sauce. It would have been nice to have chili or something, maybe I should've asked. Spicy steamed chicken with chili sauce: the best dish that I've tried there. The chicken was juicy & was drowned in a tahini oily sauce. It was delicous, but I would've appreciated it more if it was more spicy. Spicy cucumber: basically cucumber pieces with tahibi & maybe soy sauce? There were chili flakes visible but it was not spicy at all. It was good, but I expected more for spiciness. Shanghai style noodles: looked delicous, it was perfectly cooked noodles that tasted like nothing. It is soy sauce based & we chose to not add the tahini sauce. It was extremely bland. We had to add more soy sauce. Spicy fried pork noodles: the pork did not look like the one on the picture, it was definitely not spicy & although it looked fancier than the shanghai noodles, it tasted exactly the same, which is absolutely nothing. The noodle dishes were very disappointing. The spice level here is zero because all the spicy dish did not taste spicy at all. The only thing worth it here are the dumplings, very good & for a good price as well. The sauce provided grew on us after we added soy sauce
Wonderful experience at Fu Chon! We loved the dumplings (steamed & fried), the flavour of their wonton soup & the sautéed noodles. All excellent! Tables filled up quickly & decor is trendy.

Les soupes dumplings sont délicieux, autant ceux au porc sucré, ceux au boeuf & oignons que ceux aux crevettes & porc. J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé les choux de Bruxelles & les nouilles shanghai. Les prix sont plus qu'abordables & le service est rapide.
My husband & I ate here in May 2023. We were visiting from Boston. The food was fantastic. The hot & sour soup was a revelation! But it's not on the menu anymore!😞. Is this the same chef now as May 2023 chef? I'm so unhappy about this. So excited with your response! Yippee!!!
My new favourite soup dumplings in Montreal. A friend from China said that this is the most authentic Chinese food in Montreal. The pork Xiao long bao was amazing. I preferred it to the shrimp & pork. Small-ish restaurant but we got a seat on a Tuesday night. Slow-ish service, but very nice. $32 (including tax & tip) for 18 dumplings, which was enough for 2 of us
Small cute shop - much more quiet & nice to eat in than the chaos at Sami Soup Dumplings. Service was attentive & speedy. That being said, half of our xiaolongbaos ripped when we tried to take them out of the steamer. The sweet pork was...interesting, gave off very syrupy sweet flavours instead of the mild porky sweetness I was expecting. The Shanghai spicy pork was not particularly spicy. Chili chicken was delicious & had a nice kick to it, but not recommended to people who can't handle bone-in chicken.

First time here & it did not disappoint! The waitress was just by herself so we did have to wait a bit before she can take our order as she was also handling take out orders. Everything we got tasted delicious, especially on a cold night! The soup inside the dumplings was so flavourful! Some of the pan fried dumplings broke already so only some had the juice inside & some didn't. But overall, it's the best soup dumplings I've had! Hope they'll hire more wait staff in the future.
This restaurant got high praise but the food had no taste the portions are small for the cost waitress forgot our order going back to Sammie soupe & dumplings is that crazy better taste service the same but the food has flavor & we can portion our sauces on our own. The 70$ spent hurt we took our shanghai noodles home & seasoned them ourselves . This was just my experience
Les soupes wonton ne sont pas aussi bons, mais les nouilles N1, les xiao long bao au boeuf & oignon & les choux de Bruxelles sont impeccables. Les serveuses sont très gentilles, les plats sont très beaux. Pour trois personnes (1 enfant, 2 adultes), nous avons commandé 7 plats & nous avons presque tout mangé, donc les portions sont quand mêmes petites. Le design du resto est vrm joli & unique. À essayer absolument!
Dumplings are great & totally authentic. I also got the scallion oil noodles. Wished that there was a bit more taste to the scallion oil so added some soy sauce & hot sauce. I came for lunch & they had a few deals with & without soup. The place is clean & air conditioner for the summer. It's a peaceful spot to have lunch off the Rue St Catherine strip. The wait staff are pleasant, multilingual, & efficient.
Xiao long bao : bœuf & oignons. Délicieux. Un petit bol aurait été préférable qu’une assiette, pour déguster la petite soupe. Ça évite les petits dégâts. Nouilles de pâte
sauce soya. Le service a été rapide quand je suis passée mais il y a une seule serveuse, alors soyez indulgent. Elle a fait une petite erreur sur ma facture. Le tout s’est réglé. Dites lui merci, & un bon pourboire est le bienvenu.
