The cold chicken had a raw piece. You could see the blood. The waitress brought it back to us saying they could not make anymore… sorry! The cook should have made us something else but sent the plate back to the table. We did not eat it & to top it off we were charged for it. The only reason I gave a 2 star is because the waitress was very sweet & understanding & she brought us 3 sodas for free. However the chicken plate should not have been charged.
Really cute & interestingly designed place, the interior has a lot of character & the open kitchen layout makes this establishment a bit more intimate, hearing the wok & chefs communicate while making your food was a cool addition.
The service was great & the staff are very friendly but the food speaks for itself, the dumplings & Shanghai noodles are a regular order we get, we recently tried the spicy peanut butter noodles as well & I'll be getting those again. For beverages you can order a variety of alcoholic drinks along side teas, matcha latte, sodas, & complimentary water. I highly recommend either the chicken cabbage dumplings or the beef & onion, you cannot go wrong with either choice.
If you are deciding if you should try this place - it is worth it, there are a lot of dumpling places in the surrounding area & this one falls on the middle to higher end of the ranks for the area.

Got the shanghai noodles with porc katsu & duck confit. Highly recommend the duck, very flavourful & pairs really well with shanghai noodles. Also got the crab & porc soup dumplings, an explosion of flavour. A true hidden gem downtown. Portion is good for the price!
