About

Fu Chun Soupe Dumpling specializes in the traditional preparation of Shanghainese cuisine, focusing heavily on the craftsmanship of xiao long bao. Each dumpling features a delicate, pleated wrapper filled with seasoned pork and a savory, gelatin-based broth that melts into a liquid upon steaming. The menu emphasizes regional staples including hand-pulled noodle soups, pan-fried vegetable buns, and various small plates designed for communal consumption. Patrons interact with an open-kitchen layout that showcases the precise folding techniques required to maintain the structural integrity of the soup dumplings. The interior maintains a functional, no-frills aesthetic that centers the culinary experience entirely on the texture and temperature of the prepared dishes. Consistent preparation methods ensure the signature dumplings arrive at the table with the precise balance of aromatics and juices required by authentic standards.

Look no further for authentic Shanghai soup dumplings. They are absolutely perfect, probably the best soup dumplings I have ever had all around the world. The noodles & rice dessert we had were delicious too. Staff were friendly & attentive too.

As a food inspector, I focus on authenticity, consistency, & execution & Fuchun truly stands out.

The soup dumplings were exceptional, delicate wrappers, rich & flavorful broth, & perfectly seasoned fillings. Each basket came out fresh & steaming, showing great attention to timing & technique. The dumplings with sauce were just as impressive, well-balanced & packed with flavor.

Beyond dumplings, the dishes were executed with precision, the noodles were savory & satisfying, & the fried items had a perfect crisp without being greasy. Everything felt authentic & thoughtfully prepared.

The overall experience was clean, efficient, & consistent-exactly what you want to see from a well-run kitchen.

If you're looking for high-quality dumplings in Montreal, this spot is a must-visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fu Chun Soupe Dumplings is an absolute gem. The soup dumplings were incredibly fresh, delicate, & packed with rich, flavorful broth-easily some of the best I've had. The spicy pork Shanghai noodles were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of heat & depth.

Everything tasted homemade & authentic, & you can really feel the care that goes into each dish. The service was warm, attentive, & welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

Great quality, generous portions, & very reasonable prices. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

Absolutely delicious. Hidden gem with authentic Shanghai flavours. Would recommend the scallion noodles (soy) & the beef pan fried dumplings. All of it was delicious. The spring rolls are very mushroom forward so if you don't like mushrooms, I'd skip it. Great service. Friendly staff & the food arrives nice & hot!!

Authentic & delicious xiaolongbao! The dumpling skins are thin, the filling is generous, & every bite is juicy. Definitely tastes much better when dining in compared to takeout. I also tried the crab meat xiaolongbao this time, which isn't available on Uber Eats - it had a nice, distinct crab flavor. The side dishes are also very good, mostly on the sweet side, just like in Shanghai. Only downside was it was pretty noisy inside, was hard to talk
