Menu simple : burgers, sous-marins, smoked meat & poutines.
We are locals & this was our first time there. The inside is cleverly decorated & fun. We were greeted right away by a young man that seems to do everything with warmth & a smile. We sat at the window. He guided us with his menu knowledge & we ordered a delicious sub with lotsa meat & cheese, poutine & fried pickles.

Tasnime is the GOAT, she's amazing, so fun to talk to. greatest poutine ever, i will come back to this place when i come back to montreal in the future. so delicious.
5 hockey games, amazing drinks, kick ass tunes, the bartender MacKenzie was amazing, the food was absolute fire. The poutine & Philly cheese steak sandwich were top notch, will never not say this place is amazing.
let me preface this by saying we came here with our toddler which, from the pictures & reviews, seemed like it would be fine. none of the pictures showed the giant wall covered in playboy magazines 😬 add in that the music was BLASTING & they don't have high chairs, we had to eat & run as quickly as possible. suffice it to say we're not the target audience for this environment, a younger crowd may enjoy it more. I don't fault the restaurant for this, just good to know.
the food was fairly good. my husband really enjoyed his smash burger & I liked the poutine, though it was veryyyyy salty. the hoagie was… not great. it really wasn't a hoagie, I didn't know what to make of the meat that was on it, it was almost like bacon but not. it was also pretty sparse. service was not super friendly but not bad. overall, wouldn't come back but don't not recommend.

Jeff & his wife have a fantastic place in Old Montreal. We were greeted right away & sat, & ordered food. Food came out quickly & was unreal - get the smoked meat sandwich & poutine. Thank me later!
We wanted late evening eats & found this amazing establishment.
Loved the smoked meat & smash burgers. Next table over ordered poutine & we were sad we did not get that too! Welcome casual vibes, initial service & food delivery was prompt & friendly. Will revisit to try more & check the playlist.
We were exploring old Montreal & came across Franklin's, decided to go in for smoked meat sandwiches, because you just gotta.
Franklin's has a really good vibe inside - cool retro décor & good music that makes it a nice place to hang out. Service was great: friendly staff & very quick, which we appreciated.
Food-wise, it was mixed. The smoked meat was just okay & quite fatty, which took away from it, & not much flavour. Fries were tasty & probably the highlight. The poutine, however, was also just okay & didn't really stand out.
Overall, nothing was bad, but nothing impressed enough to recommend it either. I wouldn't tell people to stay away, but I wouldn't go out of my way to suggest it.
Went for the poutine but the chicken wings were the star. Really liked how they were prepared, juicy & crispy with nice spices. The smokes meat poutine had a ton of meat & pickles, which was nice but not as awesome as I expected. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere & friendly service.
