Review Summary

Foil Gallery offers a unique and sophisticated experience by seamlessly blending contemporary art with a high-quality café environment. Visitors frequently praise the minimalist, industrial aesthetic, the rotating art exhibitions, and the distinct, pleasant fragrance that greets guests upon arrival. Many appreciate the creative and delicious drink menu, particularly the matcha lattes and seasonal specialties, which are often described as high-quality and refreshing. The dog-friendly policy and the presence of thoughtful design elements, such as classic cars and carefully curated decor, contribute to a memorable and stylish atmosphere. While some visitors find the price point and tipping expectations to be on the higher side, many feel the immersive artistic experience and the welcoming nature of the space make it a standout destination in the city for those looking to enjoy coffee in a modern, inspirational setting.

First time visit to the cafe & gallery last week & I have to say I can't wait to come by again. If you appreciate minimalist design, art, & coffee you'll love this spot. Staff were friendly & the latte I ordered tasted great, no complaints. Milk alternatives available. Inside / outside seating. Although the space is used mainly as a gallery it still felt intimate when sitting down & catching up with a friend over coffee. We also met a sweet pup & their owner that day as well (yes to dog friendly cafes)…it just made the visit a whole lot more memorable.

Love from Vancouver.

15$ for a matcha in Montreal is crazy, & it wasn't even that good. Plus, the workers there are kind of rude.

Such a cool place, the atmosphere is amazing. The matcha was very green & wasn't overly sweet. The building itself is unique & contains many elements of contemporary art. I would definitely recommend to go here. 10/10.

We tried the iced matcha latte, iced vanilla latte, iced chai latte, & the iced hibiscus; they were not worth the money. The coffee beans were bitter & sour. The matcha was overpriced. We've tried matcha/coffee from Toronto, LA, New York, & many major hubs in North America. They were all much better & reasonably priced. (For all those commenting this was the best coffee/matcha… please review your tastebuds). The matcha was $13!!! That's an insane price for matcha & the cup wasn't even full. Don't get me started on the 25 cent charge (per drink) if you're getting takeout… newsflash, this isn't BC. The iced chai latte was unbelievably sweet even after adjusting the sugar. At least the girls working there were so sweet (just like that chai latte). We didn't try any pastries so can't really comment on those but the drinks were NOT worth it, don't waste your money! All for supporting small businesses however this was extremely disappointing considering the amount of the good reviews :(
