I couldn't put my drink down for one second without someone being there instantly to assist with a refill. The food is non stop & everything is incredible! Off the charts EVERYTHING! Would highly recommend, it's a great time.View more

Went for a bachelorette party last Thursday night & we had such an amazing time we were raving about it the entire weekend. Not only was the food incredible, but the service really went above & beyond to make us feel welcome & found a nice balance of being attentive to the group without hovering. I would recommend for anyone visiting Montreal to check out Flyjin.View more

The food was amazing, & the waitress made our night! Highly recommendView more
Decent fusion (mostly) Asian food & cocktails, really liked their tacos, mushroom mix, & sushi platter. After 11pm it turns into a club, with good sets of DJs. Recommend if you like a fancy dinner with friends + nice house music.View more
Great place for partying, specially on Saturdays. It's fairly easy to enter & the bouncers don't play games. David plays on Saturdays & his mashups are crazzzy. Would recommendView more
Context: we came for dinner & stayed for the club.
The excellent: Service is fantastic. Top notch. This seems consistent across the board with all servers & ours was excellent as well as the other staff.
The good: Food is great. It's pricey, so know that coming in. It's definitely one of those places that will leave you hungry after ~$150 per person. The cod was the best I've had & I'm not a cod fan, but this cod, wow. Beef great. Dumplings were interesting. All prepared excellently. Very small portions.
Drinks were hit & miss. Espresso martini (with tequila) was amazing. Some others were not - whisky sour was weird, spicy tequila/fruity cocktail all right. Your mileage may very.
The iffy: Decor is... odd for this type of place. Sure, it's trendy. There's a lot of plywood involved & it leaves a musty musk in the entire place, & doubly bad if you go to the washrooms. Also plywood paneling. Seems like it was set up to get rebooted or torn out. Or maybe the building has water issues? Rest of the decor is as expected at the price point.
Club: it's a club. It gets pretty packed & not really much space for dancing so keep that in mind.
Would I go back or recommend? Probably not. Your mileage may vary. From a food/drink standpoint, there's other places I would try before circling back here since there was more "all right" than "wow" & at this price point everything could be "wow". It may be the club transformation that gets this place into a "jack-of-all-trades" situation.View more
Would I recommend Flyjin to all of my readers? Absolutely! If you are like me & enjoy Japanese fusion cuisine, special cocktails &/or simply wine, the Old Montreal & its trendy crowd, you would have to consider Flyjin at least once in your life.
