Flyjin serves predominantly Japanese fare but also explores flavours from China, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. The 4-star dining experience has two services, one at 7pm and a second at 9:30pm. At 11pm, there is a metamorphosis of sound, lighting, service and music that redefine Flyjin as a bar. Flyjin has somethingLe Flyjin is a chic Asian Brasserie located in the heart of Old Montreal. Sophisticated and mysterious, it has a unique concept offering on the one hand a restaurant with Asian influences of about one hundred places, and also a vibrant bar where you can find a wide selection of Japanese whiskey, sakes, wines and exclusive Japanese beers. At the stroke of 11pm, the Flyjin transforms itself completely to take on the colors of the night and to welcome a crowd of clubbers in the its underground space. There is a metamorphosis of lighting and sound while the furniture is subtly moved around to allow for a dance floor that will soon be packed with people. From Wednesday to Saturday, Flyjin has much to offer foodies as well as night owls who like being surprised at every visit and who enjoy the beautiful, the good and the new. Whether as a group, a couple or alone, go with the flow knowing fully well that here, things are not always as they seem.

Went with a few of my friends & got a few drinks at the bar which was pretty expensive but i was to be expected but then i went back to get a glass of water which is normal & they gave me have a glass while gloating at me honestly thats wasnt really niceView more

This place is super fun! Came on a Thursday & sat at the bar with Juan. I wish I got to try everything on the menu but what we had was delicious, including our espresso martinis. Then we finished the night with a bottle of sake dancing the night away to house music. I would love to come back & do it again.View more

We enjoyed our special dinner at Flyjin. Scallop tartare with black caviar, wagyu tataki, oysters, maki, sashimi & nagiri plate prepared by Chef Kim & Chef Alex were outstanding. Juan at the bar suprised us with shots of Japanise whiskey & super dirty martini. Thank you guys for making our evening at Flyjin unforgettable! Food, location, atmosphere were great. Our return to Flyjin was driven by the fantastic experience we had last year. Arriving with a group of girls for our annual trip, Jamie went above & beyond to ensure a memorable night for us. Despite a full coat check, he graciously handled our coats & even assisted in getting us drinks at the bar. The seamless entry on a busy Saturday night, coupled with consistently great vibes, made the night enjoyable. Expect fantastic dancing, an outstanding DJ, & exceptional customer service with delightful cocktails. We are already looking forward to coming back next year! Arrivés tôt, nous avons pénétré sans difficulté dans la section club de l'établissement. Le cadre était tout simplement magnifique, avec un dédale de corridors originaux. L'accueil initial était chaleureux, & l'ambiance du lieu très accueillante. Seul bémol, une fois passée une certaine heure, le bar ne propose plus de cocktails. Un petit détail qui n'a pas terni l'expérience globale. Je donne quatre étoiles en raison du style musical qui, malheureusement, ne correspondait pas à mes préférences. Les sons électro étaient omniprésents, mais c'est une question de goût personnel. Mis à part cela, je recommande vivement cet endroit, surtout si vous êtes amateur de musique électro.View more

The ambiance at this bar is undeniably fantastic, & it's best experienced in person. While the drink options might be a tad limited, I've come to understand this might be a trend in Montreal. On a culinary note, their Wagyu is quite delightful. A recommended spot for sure!View more

Would give this place a 0 if possible. STAY AWAY!!!!
A member of our group made a reservation for DINNER 2 months in advance, confirmed the reservation & was told at the door at 9 pm that would not honour it due to 'an error' & we were told they could not sit us at the bar which had empty seats & did nothing. They said they had the reservation but someone made a non-explained error... The end result was being told to come back after 11 pm to buy a bottle for their nightclub if we wanted to get in at all. The reason for this was made clear to us: we were too many guys for their club... if you are booking & have more guys then girls in your group, they may decide to cancel your booking!

My boyfriend & I went to Flyjin for our 1 year aniversary. We placed a reservation & when we got there they didn't find it. So we we're seated at the bar... The only thing that went wrong of the nigth!
Food: The food is AMAZING. The plates are appetizer sizes that you share... it is not on the cheap side... even a little expensive, but well worth it!
Staff: The staff was warm, very polite, took the time to explain the menu & share his favorites even though their was a very large group (an office party) that took all the attention of the barmans & servers. The barman/server was great & the barback did an AMAZING JOB! We even offered a shot to both of them for their great job & service.
Place: Beautiful, very hip & gets transformed so easily in a bar/dance floor it's amazing.
Finally Flyjin is definatly a place to try. I would go back there for sure but maybe not for a romantic supper. It is more the type of place you go there late at night before their kitchen closes to try some of the food & then enjoy the bar/trendy music & ambiance.
For sure a GREAT place for office parties!
