Incredible! This was a very special meal for my family, & a highlight of our trip to Canada. The food (especially the duck & temaki sushi) was so delicious & uniquely prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere & the drinks, as well. One of our servers even took the time to show us how to roll the napkins in the shape of roses. A perfect experience.
Food was absolutely amazing. The service was a 10/10. Jack is the best & made up a menu for us with all of his favourites! Most definitely recommend. I will be back
It took me too long to finally try this place... Cozy, hip, fun menu, the freshest fish. Get a seat at the bar & watch the prep show.
Coolest spot & kind staff! The food was incredible, especially the duck & the Tantan Udon 🤌
Friendly staff, explained the menu & guided us to create a delicious meal. Different preparation on standard menu items that elevated the food. Good cocktails also
Fabuleux !
Merci !
We tonight enjoyed the tasting menu at Fleurs & Cadeaux & it was a memorable experience.
The standout for us was the Japanese milk bread - truly the best we've ever had. It was incredibly soft, melted in the mouth, & featured a delightfully crispy layer on top.
The fried chicken was also excellent, accompanied perfectly by the black garlic sauce, which was the best sauce pairing for it.
The duck breast was amazing with a lovely charry flavor, but we found the daunted mushroom flavor profile a little off - too sour to complement the smokiness of the breast well.
We particularly loved the Toro special dish; its richness & buttery texture, combined with a subtle brininess of the sea, made it exceptional. Even my friend, who's not usually a seafood fan, enjoyed it thoroughly.
For dessert, we tried both the annin dofu & the brownie, with the brownie absolutely standing out. The chocolate had an impressive density balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the caramel, & the cream on top was a lovely finishing touch.
The service was top notch throughout the evening. Every dish was presented beautifully, & the timing between courses was just right. The only suggestion we have is to consider expanding the tasting menu slightly-adding one or two more dishes or increasing the portion size of a couple of dishes, such as the fried chicken, would help round it out perfectly for 3 people.
Overall, an excellent dining experience with delicious food & attentive service. Highly recommended!
The vibes are great! I would reccomend the hand rolls & the fried chicken.
Service was great, food was good, atmosphere was lively. The seating was a bit cramped, a byproduct of success & high demand. Would recommend 8.5/10
Excellent restaurant.
What a Montreal gem! Unassuming from the outside, it has quickly jumped to the top of my list for special restos in the city. It was a fantastic dinner, the food was incredible, & the sake selection was great. Staff were friendly & fun & the atmosphere is cozy chic. Managed to go downstairs afterwards to Sans Soleil & danced to vinyl records - all this on a Monday! Hard to find good restos that are open on a Monday night, let alone one with immaculate vibes! Thanks for having us!
Speak-easy vibes with truly amazing dishes & great drinks. We had amazing service & tried all the recommendations. My favourite dishes were far & away the duck & the sashimi. The fried chicken was also a must-order. Highly recommend checking them out.
The service was fantastic, the food was really good but not wow!! It's a very solid restaurant with great staff & a great menu.
Had been wanting to come here for a while after hearing amazing reviews & decided to take visitors from out of town to try it. I read reviews online that a tasting menu was available but our server did not inform us of such thing.
I was surprised at how underwhelming the food was, especially for the price. The sashimi platter should have been the highlight, but was not. It was mediocore & there was barely any wasabi provided, given that sashimi is traditionally eaten with wasabi. The udon noodles were also just noodles that tasted like they were covered in tahini. The best part was the duck, which even then, was super chewy despite being thinly cut.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'd return but the ambiance was spectacular. Meat /Seafood forward menu. Reservations are required.
