Review Summary

Fleurs & Cadeaux is widely celebrated as an exceptional Japanese izakaya-style destination in Montreal, praised for its authentic atmosphere, expert sake selection, and high-quality, fresh ingredients. Guests frequently highlight the miso-aged duck, sashimi platters, and tantan udon as standout dishes, often recommending the tasting menu for a curated experience. While the decor and vintage vinyl soundtrack create an intimate, romantic, and lively environment, some diners find the space compact and the pricing reflective of premium portions. Although the majority of visitors encounter warm, knowledgeable, and professional service, experiences regarding pace, seating comfort, and staff demeanor can occasionally vary. Overall, it remains a highly recommended spot for those seeking elevated Japanese fusion and a unique, memorable dining experience.

Food & atmosphere was great. Only shame was our server who had a hard time staying friendly or not looking annoyed

We are a couple that had the tasting menu. The duck breast was amazing. Cocktails were yummy & the atmosphere was fab. DJ in the basement spinning tunes from records.

This gem of a place blew me away. It is a MUST visit if you are in Montreal. Right when I walked in, the decor hit me with a chill retro vibe along with the music being played. The tapas style eats will teleport you to Japan. The tuna sashimi, the marinated duck, are both a must.

I had an amazing birthday dinner here. My favorite was the onsen egg with truffle oil!

It's a very cute restaurant with tasty food. My issue was that it took 2 hours to get through 4 dishes. If they were hot fired dishes maybe that would be ok, but 2 sashimi courses & a cold salad should not take that long to serve. If you like leisurely dining & aren't super hungry maybe this is a good place for you, but we were not satisfied. Especially after spending over $300 for 4 courses & a bottle of wine. The silver lining was our server. She was wonderful.

Exceptional experience in the bad way for booking (it's very cumbersome, e.g. I needed to give a deposit, to approve the house rules, to approve the dietary restrictions, to approve & select one of the degustation menus even if optional - the'PLEASE ANSWER QUESTIONS TO COMPLETE YOUR RESERVATION!' is rather intimidating) & in the good way for all the rest. Very good service. The meals are unique & tasty, made with original ingredients
