I had been meaning to try this restaurant for about a year.. Finally went there with two friends tonight.
It was excellent! Not to brag, but I know Japanese food. I Lived in Japan for three years a long time ago, & I have been returning their several times a year on business For close to 30 years.
The food, the service & the atmosphere were all great!
I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!!

Took my parents here during their visit & everything was just perfect. Amazing food, wines, atmosphere. Thank you, Maya, for your generosity of spirit & hosting us so beautifully. Can't wait to come back!
Super sympa, cozy, très goûteux, très bon, limite speakeasy vibe!! Seul limitation pour y aller tous les jours, le prix, mais bon toutes bonnes chose à un prix.
Très belle première expérience & pas la dernière. Serveur très accueillant & efficace, la nourriture était INCROYABLE, ambiance très agréable, j'ai hâte de revenir!

Came here with my friend last Thursday for my last night in Montreal, it was perfect! The menu our wonderful server Maya selected was incredible, I was so full & everything was extremely delicious! The ambience is great, it's busy without being too loud to talk & feels cozy. Will be back next time!
Delicious food. Bread with mushroom parfait is such unique flavor that works surprisingly well. & comes with bread refill! Some type of seafood bowl is must get, super fresh & you see chef making it in middle of room.

I loved this place. Very cool vibe & delicious food. Cocktails were excellent. The wait staff were very helpful & all of their recs were great. Will return on my next trip to MTL.
Beaucoup trop cher pour les quantités servies. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation à 75$ par personne(dessert, taxes & pourboire en sus). Avec le vin & dessert nous en avons eu pour 150$ par personne. & nous avions encore faim. Ceci étant le reste est parfait!
I have been several times & this was the first time that I did not have a good experience. Our server was rushing us even though we had over an hour left of our 2-hour reservation window. She was rude. Several times. I don't know if I will go back. I will stick to Sans Soleil, downstairs, where Stéphanie & others on the team are always very welcoming.
Despite being busy, took time to see if they could accommodate us & found room for a party of 3. Fantastic food & service. Little pricey but well worth it for the quality. Great atmosphere & staff.
