Review Summary

Overall, Faybee's Restaurant receives praise for bold Caribbean flavors with standout dishes like jerk chicken, oxtail, griot, roti and patties, along with tasty sides such as rice and peas, plantains and spicy sauces, while some notes emphasize generous portions and good value and others warn of inconsistency in quality or portion sizes. The vibe is described as vibrant and welcoming, with a small dine-in area that suits casual meals and takeout, though parking can be challenging and the space can feel cramped. Service experiences vary, from friendly and patient staff to moments of loud or hurried service, and a few reviews recount missteps with orders or dietary concerns. A few guests call it a hidden gem worth returning to, while others advise caution due to mixed experiences, but many still express enthusiasm to try more items on the menu.

Ordered takeout. Was pretty disappointed with the oxtail. It was hard, not cooked tender & the portion was considerably small for the price (not enough for one person). The curry goat was good but same issue with the portion. Haitian patty was alright but again low on meat. They are stingy on the meats unfortunately.

Tried the griot another day & it was nice. Fresh. The sauce for the rice is so good.

My wife & I went to try out this restaurant, the seating area is small but you feel a vibrant caribbean atmosphere. The menu is very bold & accurate for customers to view.

Food: I ordered oxtail, rice & peas,my wife ordered red snapper with rice & peas but at the moment they were sold out so she got King fish instead.I have to honestly say the food was up to standards as a Jamaican man,we enjoyed our meal & toasted it down with a ginger beer & one vitamin.

Dem mad man dem mad.

Customer service is loud!! 🔥 the girl was polite even though she couldn't speak French .

Gi dem a try

Today, I had a true Caribbean food experience at this hidden gem. I ordered the curry goat, & my friend chose the oxtail; both came with a side salad, rice, two plantains, a small Jamaican bread, a very spicy sauce (watch out-it's really hot!), & a drink. They have some variety of Jamaican drinks.

The goat meat was tender & moist, & it was my first time trying oxtail, which was also delicious. We sat outside since the weather was beautiful today.

The man who served us was polite & kind, taking time to explain the menu & dishes thoroughly.
I highly recommend this place.

My favorite place used to be Curry House in cote -des-neiges buy unfortunately with new ownership the food there became inedible. I was sad because no other place near me is good. until i found Faybee's. Best jerk chicken. Best oxtail. salad always fresh. plantain crsipy with fluffy soft deliciousness inside. they provide small containers with sauce & juices. i have no words. AMAZING.

I took the oxtail with rice & peas I think the rice was more Haitian than Jamaican. It that's good because we make the better rice ;)❤️❤️❤️❤️

We were visiting from Toronto & looking for some Jamaican food. We tried Faybee's & we were not disappointed! Lovely, friendly service & delicious food. We had jerk chicken & oxtail. Will be back next time we are in Montreal.
