Review Summary

FAME CAFÉ is widely recognized for its vibrant, chill atmosphere, featuring an impressive sound system and occasional live music that makes it a popular spot for relaxing or working. Many visitors praise the quality of the coffee, including specialized drinks like matcha and cappuccinos, along with highly recommended pastries like the almond and lemon cookies. While the staff is frequently described as friendly and welcoming, some experiences are dampened by concerns over inconsistent drink sizing, high prices, slow service during peak times, and occasional noise issues. Despite some polarizing feedback regarding value and efficiency, the aesthetic appeal and cozy environment continue to draw people in as a go-to neighborhood destination.

Superbe endroit pour prendre une pause café, j'ai essayé leur latte pistache qui était très bien! Il y a aussi des à côté fait sur place chaque jour. Les grains proviennent du torréfacteur Barista.

I didn't give the low rate, because the first time, with another barista, I was happy & the owner is a nice person.

I ordered a Cortado. The coffee was good, however, it more looked like a Macchiato, in terms of size & quantity of the milk, but the price was more like a Flat White/small Latte that you get from other coffee shops in the neighborhood. The first time that I got a Cortado there, the size was the regular size & when I mentioned that to the barista, she said that I was wrong.

Lovely little spot for a hangout with my daughter. We had both hot & iced lattes which were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was light & chill & the barista was lovely. Apparently they have DJs here on the weekends which I would go back for.

I have been here multiple times because I wanted to be sure of what I was experiencing. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Very'of-the moment' with the vintage speakers, disco ball, & brushed aluminum shelving. The service is pretty lacking. The baristas are a tad shy, snarky, & aloof at the same time. Coffee is okay-ish. Pastries are tasty.

We visited at 4pm on a Sunday. There was one barista, & a DJ. The DJ behind the counter was useless. The barista was doing it all, taking orders & payments, table service, making drinks, heating food, etc. We were third & fourth in line after another couple & it took us over 20 minutes to get our drinks (to go), & only after receiving our drinks did he put our food in the oven to warm up. There were dirty cups & garbage on the bar, & no clean spoons for stirring drinks. The barista was obviously overworked & in the middle of a rush with no help. Glad there was a DJ though. My advice is try to focus on running a functioning cafe before trying to over-curate your pretentious vibes with a vinyl DJ on a Sunday afternoon. This is what the mile end has come to I guess.
