The Falafel Yoni kiosk in the outside portion of Marche Atwater is just another smart addition to a collection of good eateries including Satay Bros ,a smoked barbeque unit,le petite Sao,fresh nuts & Smoothies. On a sunny warm day the vibe is great, people eating, diversity, romantic hustle & onlookers from the full time vendors eating & talking on the large number of clean benches & tables. The smell of the barbeque & in contrast the sweet smell of flowers & plants is oddly inviting during the early summer rush for garden adornment.

I knew of Falafel Yoni from reputation & my review of Pizza Toni. Both have the same owner.
Their Falafel pita,I believe,is Israeli style with lots of red cabbage, onion, fresh Falafel balls, chick pea sauce served in a sizable pita pocket. Spiciness is according to taste & client specific at time of order .

Two things stand out of my recent experience. There was a wait line by number & 8 orders were filled within 10 minutes.

I also brought the pita sandwich home to share with my wife. The content is filling & when shared it can be a meal for 2 at $13
The only caveat is that the falafels were not evenly distributed & my wife got fewer balls than me on the divide of the sandwich

Oh well, such is life!! enjoyView more

Les Falafels sont à la fois moelleux & croustillants! Vraiment délicieux! 🤤 😋😋😋😋😋🫶🙏👍 De plus, les sauces rehaussent le Pita Falafel & apporte une touche de saveur incroyable! 🤩View more

The Zaatar fries are a MUST. Deliciously seasoned & perfectly cooked. I also got the falafel sandwich, which was good, but I did find it a bit dry. This may have been since all the sauce was at the bottom. Falafel was perfectly cooked, but they were served at room temperature & I wish they were hotter.View more

Let me tell you about this little bit of culinary magic called: Falafel Yoni, a hidden gem that tantalizes taste buds & transports diners to the heart of the Middle East. From the moment I stepped into Falafel Yoni, I was enveloped in warmth & authenticity. The cozy ambiance, adorned with colorful tapestries & traditional music playing softly in the background, instantly whisks me away to bustling streets in Tel Aviv or Cairo. The Star of the Show: Crispy-Creamy Falafel - Crispy on the Outside, Creamy on the Inside: - Falafel Yoni's falafel balls are a symphony of textures. The golden-brown exterior crackles satisfyingly, revealing a velvety, herb-infused interior. Each bite is a delightful contrast of crunch & tenderness. - The secret lies in their spice blend. Cumin, coriander, & a touch of garlic dance harmoniously, creating a flavor profile that's both familiar & exotic. - Pair your falafel with fluffy pita bread, tahini sauce, & a medley of pickled vegetables. The tangy pickles cut through the richness, leaving your palate craving more. - Falafel Yoni doesn't skimp on portions. Whether you're ordering a platter or a wrap, expect hearty servings that satisfy even the hungriest appetite. - Its totally Budget-Friendly - Here's the best part: You won't break the bank. Falafel Yoni keeps prices reasonable, making it a go-to spot for students, families, & foodies. - The staff at Falafel Yoni treat you like family. Their smiles are genuine, & they're always ready to recommend their favorite dishes. - Want extra tahini? No problem. Prefer your falafel spicy? They've got you covered. Falafel Yoni caters to individual preferences with grace. Falafel Yoni isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. So gather your family & or friends, bring your appetite, & let the flavors transport you. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! If you need any recommendations or have any requests, feel free to ask the staff! 😊View more

Falafel Yoni is becoming a centerpiece of Montreal with their delicious falafel pita sandwiches! The combination of their spices & sauces with salad toppings truly make them stand out from all other falafel places. It is easy to eat & truly a great lunch or supper meal to turn to. Their zatar fries completes the whole meal with their drink (lemon soda). If you haven't tried it, you are missing out! Love the ambiance of the outdoor sitting. Overall amazing! Always get it when I am in the Verdun area :) keep it up!View more

I have always been a huge falafel yoni fan & have brought people to this unique spot in Montreal! This was my first time visiting the Verdun location, we ordered 3 demi falafel pitas & took our bites. The bread was extremely cold, like it had just been taken out of the freezer & barely defrosted. The filling of the falafel & sauces were really good, the product that I recommend to people when they visit Montreal. This taste was overshadowed by the cold bread which remained cold with the hot filling inside.View more

Excellent place for a quick bite 🧆 Service: always friendly & professional staff 🧆 Ambiance: depending on the time of the day, the music can be too loud if the doors are closed, BUT also, it's not a sit-down place, it's practically a sandwich shop who has seats 🧆 Price: great deal for ½ sandwich, & well packed with veggies & sauce. Perfect for on-the-go meal. They also sell their day-old pita bread. It's still delicious & less waste! I wish more restaurants does that... 🧆 Food: delicious & balance textures & taste. The falafel is just crispy & all over (top to bottom). The spicy sauce is not as spicy but just right. Full of pickled veggies too. Love it. Overall, I really love this new restaurant & hope it stays open ☺View more
