This isn't a cafe or place where you can eat; it's literally just a tiny bagel shop where you line up to get a bagel (& a spread) to eat somewhere else. We ate our onion bagels (the receipt said they were all dressed, but the sign we pointed to said onion) on the sidewalk outside. It's a nice little shop & a fine experience. That said, after having tried a couple different top-rated Montreal bagels, I think this style of bagel just isn't for me. The ones at Fairmount were a bit physically flat/dry &, in my opinion, lacked flavor. I found myself wishing they were saltier, which isn't something I usually feel about foods; adding butter helped, but only just barely.Voir plus

I got curious & like to know what's this hype about Montreal bagel so after hiking Mount Royal I decided to go to this place. Wait was very long & the inside store was small. The store only offer take out, so people just go in, choose what they want & pay. I just don't understand why it took so long, I really wish they have a system in place to make it more efficient, such as putting the available flavours on the window so people should know what they want once they're inside. A superior bagel! I got a blueberry bagel & I Hate blueberry bagels. But not this one, it was delicious. I also overheard that people come over from the U.S. & buy these bagels in bulk. That's how good these are; American food is excellent, but these are better! So stay in your home country & get a yummy bagel. They are not expensive at all, so you might as well get them in bulk too!Voir plus
