We went to Eva's today & overall the food & service from our waiter were great. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an extremely negative interaction with the host.
When I made the reservation, I clearly wrote in the comments that we would be coming with a baby & would need a high chair. Whether or not it was my mistake to have chosen the bar section, I was honestly shocked by how rude & unprofessional the host was when we arrived. The way he spoke to us was dismissive & unpleasant, & it immediately set a negative tone for the visit. I'm not sure where he learned his customer service skills, but the interaction was completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, as he walked by our table he either intentionally or carelessly kicked the baby's high chair & didn't even acknowledge it or apologize.
I want to emphasize that our waiter was excellent & the food was great-I truly have nothing negative to say about that part of the experience. However, the host's behavior really stood out in the worst way & unfortunately affected the overall experience.
I would strongly encourage management at Eva's to address this with their hosting staff. The front-of-house role sets the tone for guests, & this interaction fell far below what should be expected.

One of the most beautiful brunch places I've ever been to as a tourist. My friends & I reserved a table of 4, however when we arrived we had to sit at the bar.
We didn't mind & enjoyed the food but when it came to paying, one of my friends chose not to tip since we were all doing separate bills. After our server saw that she didn't tip, she told her, no tip? In a very rude manner.
Mind you, the other 3 of us did our own tips & I gave a $20 tip for my own meal. After we were getting ready to leave, my friends & I were getting weird faces from our server & another server she was chatting to. I could tell they were talking to us because I heard them
making comments about us being broke while we were leaving.
Was a funny experience, I ordered a side avocado & the waiter said there was no avocado, I did not argue about it, after when I started eating I realize that they were serving avocado side dish lol
Food is okay but not worthy the price, service is bad.
wow! amazing people, amazing service, amazing people again cause yea it was that good! i love the bartender i think her name is danielle she makes the best drinks!
Five stars!! The cocktails were AMAZING! & the bartender Danielle is such a lovely young lady. She made my favourite drink, mojito with NO ICE. I spilled it on my favourite corduroy pants & she replaced my drink no questions asked! She even gave me a clean cloth for my wet pants! I looked like i had peed my pants so i was a little embarrassed, but later i embraced it. 5ive stars!!!

The restaurant itself is gorgeous & the atmosphere is so fun.
The service was so good, never once was my water fully empty. Food came quick also.
I got the hightower which I loved. My friend got the brit & it was also so good! The highlight though were the amazing pancake bites. Such big portions! We had to take most of it to-go.
Such a fun brunch experience, especially for groups. It's the best place to go for a celebration.
Excellente nourriture, belles présentations des assiettes, ambiance musicale rap/RnB/pop. Mon amie a pris l'assiette Peterson avec pain dorée challah, oeuf brouillé & fruits des champs. Très croustillant. OEuf bien cuit & bien assaisonné. Pour ma part, j'ai pris le bol de la vallée. Bol de yogourt grec avec du sirop d'érable & des fruits des champs. Très bon. Portion généreuse. Réservations nécessaires pour avoir une table. On est arrivé en retard de 1h. L'hôte nous a invité au bar car plus de place dispo. Réservation fortement encouragée pour les grand groupe. Le chef nous a même offert des pancakes bites comme cadeau. Les pancakes était à la fois moelleux & légèrement croustillants à l'extérieur. En général, je recommande fortement le resto. 💗
I'm from New York, & the vibes at EVA's Montreal are truly 10/10. The food & vibe here exceptional! Great vibes,great music. TO DIEEEE FOR! Please don't go here & not order the pancake bites! from the cocktails to the entrées is flawless. I honestly wish we had an EVA's in NYC, especially with a bartender like Danielle :-) Such a great experience all around. I had an amazing time! Please consider opening in NYC😊-bring Danielle hahah

We came here for brunch on a Sunday. Despite being a popular restaurant, it was relatively easy to get a reservation, which was especially nice since many places don't allow brunch reservations.
We ordered the avo toast, shoe string fries & the chicken & waffles, along with a spritz & a matcha latte. Everything was an excellent choice, with generous portion sizes. We were very full & didn't feel hungry for hours after. Exactly what you want from a brunch. We were seated in front of the kitchen, & every dish coming out looked absolutely divine.
The staff were also super courteous & polite. They offered great recommendations for the meals.
Such a beautiful lowkey brunch spot in Montreal. The food was AMAZING & the restaurant is so gorgeous inside! The pancake bites are a must have!! The iced matcha was also fantastic
Ill start with the food was good, I give credit where deserved. The service was however not at all what I expected. We definitely have seen a shift in customer service within the last few years but I've never felt that much of a burden to a restaurant for simply being there. We were there for maybe 1h10 mins total. Being asked mid bite in my pancake'okay we bring the bills now?' & asked again in a rude tone not even 10 mins later (after we got moved to the bar…). There was no lineup at the door whatsoever. I worked in the industry for a long time, it's not about needing the turnover that was my issue (was here less than 1h10 mins btw), it was the tone & being talked to like I was the servers annoying friend.
Anywho, plastic tables, plastic mimosas glasses… yea a bit disappointing.
