We started our culinary journey with the fried calamari & cold shrimp, which were perfectly prepared & bursting with flavor. The addition of fresh oil & balsamic vinegar, paired with warm pita, created an exquisite start to our meal.
The highlight, without a doubt, was the scallops-cooked to perfection & truly beyond this world. Each bite was succulent & rich, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to top-tier ingredients. The steak was equally impressive; seasoned & charred to perfection, it was a delightful combination of tenderness & flavor, beautifully complemented by a side of Greek rice. I found myself wishing for a bottle of Tabasco to enhance the experience even further!
To round off our feast, we indulged in the seafood pasta, which featured a luscious rose sauce & an abundance of fresh seafood. It was rich, comforting, & absolutely delicious.
Overall, Elounda Restaurant stands out not just for its incredible dishes, but for its dedication to quality & flavor. If you find yourself in Montreal, do yourself a favor & make a reservation-you won't regret it!
We tried Elounda for the first time for a family diner to celebrate a birthday. The first impression was that for evening dining, the noise level was uncomfortably high. The Maitre d' noted our discomfort & moved us to a quieter corner. We found that the entrée menu was very interesting & probably more interesting than the plats principaux but we had no trouble finding something that pleased each of the four of us. The table service was very good, prompt & friendly. The quality of the food was much higher than average. For a suburban restaurant, I did find the total with 20% tip which worked out to $90 per person a bit high but in the post Covid era I guess the price of dining out had to go up. I would note one other thing. With the structures still deployed for dining outside, there is no conveniently located parking nearby reserved for handicapped patrons of which there were at least two or three in the restaurant when we were there.

The culinary journey began with a classic appetizer, the Kalamari, which showcased the chef's expertise in preparing this Mediterranean favorite. The succulent & perfectly cooked calamari set the tone for the feast that awaited. The Zucchini Fry, a delightful surprise, stole the spotlight with its crispy perfection & mouthwatering seasoning. Freshness was the hallmark of Elounda's Oysters, served with a burst of flavors that transported diners to the ocean's edge. The oysters were not only fresh but also a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality seafood. The star of the evening was the Fish Grill-an exquisite dish that encapsulated the essence of Greek seafood cuisine. Grilled to perfection, the fish was both tender & flavorful, offering a symphony of tastes that delighted the palate. The ambiance at Elounda added to the overall experience, with charming decor that reflected the warmth of the Mediterranean. The attentive service staff, clad in outfits reminiscent of the Greek coastal villages, contributed to the authentic atmosphere. While the culinary experience at Elounda was exceptional, it is regrettable that a slight tarnish occurred during the payment process. One service staff member, in a moment of unprofessionalism, pressed for a tip, suggesting a specific percentage. This incident, albeit unpleasant, did not overshadow the overall excellence of the dining experience. In conclusion, Elounda stands out as a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Greek seafood adventure. From the succulent Kalamari to the delightful Zucchini Fry & the exquisite Fish Grill, Elounda delivers a memorable gastronomic journey. Despite the minor hiccup, I highly recommend Elounda for its culinary prowess & inviting ambiance. Everything was fantastic from the service to our meal. The quality of the food is A+. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was our second time there & intend on returning.
Food is always exceptional, very loud ambiance not for everyone & in general on the very expensive side. But the quality portions & service is always impeccable.
Always top notch at Elounda! Great service & the quality of the food is amazing! We got the pikilia & a seafood appetizer platter to share (which the waitress suggested & put together for us). The portions were perfect. They also brought us a selection of desserts on the house which I found sweet. We were celebrating my husband's birthday :)
