Il y a déjà plusieurs années que le sympathique Elio et son épouse Nina originaire de la province d'Avellino près de Naples ont ouvert les portes du Restaurant Elio Pizzeria. Nous devons dire que ce restaurant n'est pas simplement une pizzeria, Elio et sa famille offrent de simples plats typiquement maison à la Napolitaine pour leur clientèle nord-américaine. Pendant toutes ces années, le Restaurant Elio a servi de nombreux et fidèles clients. Quand le restaurant à ouvert ses portes la première fois en 1964, il y avait une capacité de servir seulement 18 personnes. Aujourd'hui, Elio et famille sont fiers de pouvoir accommoder plus de 700 personnes incluant leurs deux salles de réceptions (Buffet Anna Maria). Avec un sourire, Elio et famille vous souhaitent une belle expérience de cuisine maison, une expérience que vous n'oublierez jamais.

My wife & I had a wonderful dinner at **Elio Pizzería Ristorante** a couple of weeks ago, & it was truly one of the highlights of our culinary experiences in Montreal. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm & polite welcome.
The pizzas were absolutely delicious-crafted with obvious care & skill.

Nothing excitng for my tastebuds.. Missing taste, for italian cuisine i was expecting way more. I was a little disappointed by the lack of professionalism for the desserts service. The food was just ok, missing a taste that you expect from Italian cuisine. One of the servers was rude & unwelcoming, but more senior staff made up for his lack of professionalism to some extent. In general, I think this place is overrated & I probably wouldn't go back.Voir plus

Ordering the thin crust pizza is a must, very good. The regular is too bready / yeasty, but the thin is very nice & lets the toppings shine. Also got the fusili gigi pasta. it was delicious & incredibly saucy, & the fusili was homemade. But the $24 price tag is quite steep for what amounts to sauce, pasta, some canned olives, mushrooms & bacon. Those ingredients can't be more than $2 a serving. All in all I recommend it if you're looking for some classic unpretentious north american italian food, definitely pricy for what it is, though, but so are most restaurants these days. Although, I will mention we didn't order a salad as the price was ridiculous. $20 for a ceasar? That's highway robbery. Who would pay that much for romaine lettuce with croutons & bacon bits?Voir plus

My uncle has been telling me about Elio's for at LEAST 15 years. I FINALLY tried it. Una piazza margherita was what I chose & left with. The service at the counter was kind & quick with the more experienced gentleman that served me. The payment was taken with modesty by the young & very polite gent. In the 5 minutes that I was there, I already felt like a valued customer. & then there's the pizza. My goodness; delicious! Cheese galore! The sauce is the most authentic & fresh sauce that I've ever tasted. The next time I go, I'll be sitting in the dinning room to feel the italian comfort that I saw from the entrance.
