J'y réfléchissais hier, & si j'avais à dresser une liste de restaurants montréalais où il faut absolument manger si on visite la ville, je serais incapable d'exclure ce restaurant. Bien qu'il ne s'agisse pas d'un restaurant québécois, El Meson est une institution, un classique de Lachine depuis plus de trente ans, & chaque fois que j'y suis allé, la qualité & le service étaient exceptionnels. Vraiment, c'est le genre de bouffe qui nous rend reconnaissant du fait que la bouffe existe & qu'on a le privilège d'en profiter. C'est un resto mexicain authentique, mais aussi tellement unique. Tout est excellent. À essayer à tout prix.

Très belle découverte ! Le service était rapide & très efficace, le personnel souriant. En ce qui concerne la nourriture, j'ai adoré ! Tout était parfaitement assaisonné, c'était très bon & surtout frais. J'y retournerai certainement.
Je recommande cet endroit sans hésitation.

Best Latino restaurant in whole Montreal, food is authentic, the taste is amazing, the price are surprisingly really low for the portions. I came 3 times & all of them were incredible. Plus they have does nice tables outside with a view on the park on Lachine. 5/5

In my opinion, El Meson is the best Mexican restaurant in Canada,full stop. It's the kind of place that deserves recognition in the Michelin Guide. Despite being a small, family-run restaurant, the level of quality, care, & authenticity in the food is exceptional.

I regularly travel from Toronto & make it a point to stop here every single time, whether for lunch or dinner. I was first introduced to El Meson by a friend whose mother lives nearby, & since then, it has become a must-visit.

What truly sets this place apart are the sauces they are absolutely outstanding. Each one is layered, rich, & clearly made with deep knowledge of traditional Mexican flavors. You can taste the craftsmanship in every bite.

I would 100% recommend everything on the menu, but my personal favourite has to be the enchiladas with the house mole sauce absolutely incredible.

The service is equally memorable. There is a lady server who is always there unfortunately, I never caught her name but she consistently elevates the entire experience. She is warm, attentive, & genuinely kind, & she has a way of making everyone feel welcome & taken care of.

El Meson is more than just a restaurant it's an experience. If you're serious about authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is not optional.

Nous avons souper hier chez El Meson. Très déçu: enchiladas trop cuites baignant dans la sauce, riz aux tomates très très petite portion semble très réchauffé sans goût. Le personnel replace la configuration des tables de façon très bruyante.

El Mesón (bord de l'eau, Lachine) 🌮

Très belle découverte ! Les nopalitos con carne - une sorte de ragoût de cactus au boeuf - m'ont clairement fait changer d'avis sur le cactus 🌵😄 Tendre, bien assaisonné & parfaitement équilibré. Le sos mole mérite une mention spéciale : riche, profond, & tellement bon qu'il impose un petit moment de silence.

Ambiance chaleureuse, portions généreuses & saveurs authentiques. Venue par curiosité, repartie conquise. J'y retournerai, c'est certain (& pas seulement pour le cactus 😉).
