Très belle découverte ! Les nopalitos con carne - une sorte de ragoût de cactus au boeuf - m'ont clairement fait changer d'avis sur le cactus 🌵😄 Tendre, bien assaisonné & parfaitement équilibré. Le sos mole mérite une mention spéciale : riche, profond, & tellement bon qu'il impose un petit moment de silence.
Ambiance chaleureuse, portions généreuses & saveurs authentiques. Venue par curiosité, repartie conquise. J'y retournerai, c'est certain (& pas seulement pour le cactus 😉).

Located on St. Joseph in the heart of the beautiful Lachine Canal, everything here is so delicious & so beautifully presented. The ambiance is classic Mexican ❤?, providing such warmth & comfort. À Lachine, dans la proche banlieue de Montréal, un lieu à part: le restaurant mexicain El Meson offre une petite salle riche en couleurs & une belle terrasse.
Plats aux saveurs raffinées, en particulier les poissons. Superbe dorade cuite à la vapeur dans une feuille de bananier. Excellent guacamole en entrée. Service sympathique & chaleureux.
Atmosphère mexicaine. Une sangria 👌Un Ceviche délicieux en portion généreuse, un Queso fundido champignons & cactus & des tacos bien évidemment

El Meson is a nice restaurant close to the water shore in Lachine. They have delicious food, great drinks & good service! With latin atmosphere, it is the perfect place to have a good dinner!

Petit restaurant mexicain familial face au canal Lachine & au fleuve St-Laurent. Il faut réserver car c'est toujours plein! Les soupes sont incroyables, de même que les cocktails ( pina colada & daiquiri aux fraises) & l'assiette principale! Nous avons mangé des côtelettes d'agneau, avec légumes en accompagnements, riz & haricots noirs. Prix raisonnables. Ce n'est pas notre première fois. On habitent à vaudreuil, juste pour dire que ça vaut le déplacement!😊❤️
Very nice & authentic Mexican restaurant in Lachine. Quaint decor, delicious dishes, attentive service, smiles all around. Fond memories have been created in the five years since I first came to this place.
During the pandemic they started a takeout service & I am excited to get my dinner there tonight. I missed it so much !

Nous étions 5 personnes pour un souper du lundi. En choisissant ce jour de la semaine, nous étions pratiquement certains que le restaurant ne serait pas bondé. Effectivement, il y avait peu de gens, & le service était ma fois excellent! Nous avions commandé des mets différents & avons tous beaucoup aimé notre repas, aux portions généreuses. Comme je suis enceinte, j'ai beaucoup apprécié le fait d'avoir pu prendre un cocktail sans alcool à la moitié du prix de celui alcoolisé, tandis que dernièrement, j'étais allée dans un autre restaurant à Lachine où le prix du cocktail non alcoolisé était le même que celui avec alcool, ce que j'avais trouvé frustrant. Bref, ce fut une très belle expérience au El Meson & cela me donne envie d'y retourner lors d'une prochaine occasion, d'autant plus que l'endroit est vraiment beau & bien décoré.
A real gem in Lachine across from the canal. Truly authentic mexican cuisine beautifully served & extremely pleasing to the palate. Looking forward to dining this summer on the terrace.
Excellente ambiance & service dans ce restaurant mexicain authentique à Lachine au bord de l'eau. &, le détail important est que le guacamole, Carne Asada & Daiquiris étaient très bons! Nous sommes allés au restaurant plusieurs fois au cours des années & nous essayons quelque chose de différent à chaque fois. Nous aurions commandé le délicieux gâteau Tres Leches ... mais nous ne pouvions pas manger une autre bouchée. Même le mardi soir, il y avait beaucoup de monde, donc nous étions contents d'avoir fait une réservation.
The food & atmosphere were great! A very comfortable setting. We had a seafood platter, some guacamole & a few Margarita pitchers. Service was also great & the location down by the water in Old Lachine is perfect for a lovely evening.
