Mr. Victor Lopez and his wife Elena Garcia welcomes you at El Meson! This authentic Mexican restaurant located just across the Lachine Canal, in an old brick house in Old Lachine welcomes you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is already several years that this Mexican gem serves its secret family recipes. They started timidly years ago in Dorval for those who remember, and it is through satisfied customers that this Mexican restaurant has made a name for itself and today El Meson ranks among the best Latin restaurants in Montreal.

El Meson in Montreal is perfect for anyone craving true Mexican flavors in the city. The cozy atmosphere & friendly service create a welcoming vibe. The mole is a must-try! As a Mexican myself, I highly recommend it.

Lovely mexican restaurant with a charming outdoor terrace & not far from the water. Portions were generous, wide variety of foods on the menu & the drinks are refreshing.

Second time eating at El Meson & it doesn't disappoint. We got the stuffed beef pepper dish & the chicken enchiladas with red sauce & they were delicious. The staff is friendly & helpful & it's always a full house. Unfortunately I don't have photos of this one!

Good food, unique & quaint ambience. However, our water had pieces of what seemed to be white meat or little worms in it... I'm not sure what it was. But seeing little white bits floating in your water is not what you want when you pay for a meal... I want to give this place a better rating but simply can't because of that honestly disgusting oversight. I will not be going back.

El Meson is a nice restaurant close to the water shore in Lachine. They have delicious food, great drinks & good service! With latin atmosphere, it is the perfect place to have a good dinner!

I've visited this place twice for the lunch menu, trying out the tacos & a margarita, & I must say, both the food & experience were fantastic! It's such a lovely spot to enjoy with friends & family or to treat yourself!

The seating is very tight. I can hear the conversation from the table ahead of me. The outside patio the same But the food is Out of this world !! We ordered fajitas 🌮, hardy portion size , we took the rest home. ☺️ No substitutes extra charge

Nous avons été très très bien servis lors de notre passage. La nourriture y était également très bonne. L'ambiance du resto est très chaleureuse. Je recommande fortement si vous désirez manger mexicain.

The decor & atmosphere is very Mexican making for a delightful dining experience. The staff were friendly & attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. However, the food was a bit of a letdown. The soups were okay but the main dish, unfortunately, was overly salty, which overshadowed any other flavors that might have been present. The mussels were overcooked, making them tough & less enjoyable. Overall a nice experience.

Excellent food quality & value. Great experience over all. One recommendation though! Convert the men's & ladies toilets into one. Current condition is not up to standards since current hygiene law permits a single toilet space for both genders.

Rustic resto with a honey vibe. We went on a super hot day & sat on their shaded terrace but could have benefited from the breeze if they didn't have long plexi lined across the terrace rail. Food is a very good portion, we ordered the fajitas which my partner likes a lot. I ordered the carne asada & the steak lacked so much flavour. Everything else on the plate though tasted so good. They are also generous with their cocktail in terms of alcohol put in. They are understaffed yet managed to get the food to us in record time. If it wasn't for the under seasoned steak I would have given 5/5.

It'ss small place but oh! So so delicious! Authentic Mexican like you never had in montreal. The place is super busy & they find the time to serve you with a great smile! Icing on the cake or the enchilada, if you will. Perfect 10!
