Mr. Victor Lopez and his wife Elena Garcia welcomes you at El Meson! This authentic Mexican restaurant located just across the Lachine Canal, in an old brick house in Old Lachine welcomes you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is already several years that this Mexican gem serves its secret family recipes. They started timidly years ago in Dorval for those who remember, and it is through satisfied customers that this Mexican restaurant has made a name for itself and today El Meson ranks among the best Latin restaurants in Montreal.

Don't be fooled! You are here to enjoy and savor the fine foods from Mexico. So forget about other so called Mexican restaurants that offer the same Americanized dishes over and over again. Here you'll taste real delicious Mexican specialties such as Carne Asada, the Nopalitos con carne (Cactus with beef), and many more... À Lachine, dans la proche banlieue de Montréal, un lieu à part: le restaurant mexicain El Meson offre une petite salle riche en couleurs & une belle terrasse.
Plats aux saveurs raffinées, en particulier les poissons. Superbe dorade cuite à la vapeur dans une feuille de bananier. Excellent guacamole en entrée. Service sympathique & chaleureux.

Wow! Quel beau moment. Une énorme merci à Alexandra qui nous a bien guidé. Les entrées sont généreuse, salade de cactus & ceviche. Le plats principal aux fruits de mer était excellent ainsi que les mocktails. À refaire, un beau premier RDV!

One time stop & that's it ... I usually tend to do a satisfactory review to my Mexican fellows , but not this time ... I even had to return a Michelada that tasted very watery , the waiter took it back & they didn't intend to improve it, it was just removed from the bill. Food was ok , but not what I was expecting from reading others reviews & a bit expensive.

Nouriture typique mexicaine exquise! Terasse donnant sur la rue & quelques tables extèrieure sous une immence vigne pour ceux qui n'aime pas être au soleil! On y retourneras bientôt c'est sut! 🌮🌮 J'aurais donné 6* pour le service si c'érait possible! 🙂

Wow. I was amazed, really not expecting this. We started off with the ceviche, which was great in itself, then had the enchilada with tomato sauce, it was awesome. My wife had the chicken breast with the molle (cacao) sauce & that was also awesome. I also took some of her molle sauce for my vegetables, & that was also great. It was our first time trying the molle sauce & we really loved it. The next time, I'm getting the molle sauce! A big thank you to the waiter who was patient with us, & helped us navigate through the menu. I'm not one to get overexcited with food, but this struck a cord.

Fraîchement débarqué à Montréal, nous avons dîner dans ce restaurant mexicain. Cuisine

L'expérience récente pas été malheureusement a la hauteur de nos attentes

Tout d'abord, nous avons rencontré plusieurs problème: La chaise risqué de me faire tombé , un trou dans le plancher . Malgré le fait de l'avoir indiqué pas de désolé & ou offrir autre place !

Un service rapide mais pas dans le bon sens . Nous avons demander de nous laisser la carte des choix de boissons & oups retiré avant que nous ayons commencé a manger! La facture nous a été présenté alors que nous n'avions pas encore terminé.

Pour terminé le tout la salle de bain , papier de toilette au sol un peu partout pas propre !!

J'espère que le restaurant ferons le nécessaire pour éviter les désagrément.

Food was very good & that about it !
Waiters & waitresses seemed bothered if we asked a question . We asked for the drink menu & the waiter told us he was too busy at the moment!
Finally when we ordered the drinks one came back wrong & mine was supposed to be slushy & it wasn't.
Food was actually tasty & perfect temperature.
When I paid I wanted the receipt from the machine & he said sorry too late . I was like you never asked if I wanted a copy & his response was too late now !
Food was very services was not! Will not be returning!
