À l'occasion de mon anniversaire de naissance, j'ai choisi d'aller souper à cet excellent restaurant. Cependant, après avoir fait une réservation depuis plus de 2 semaines, à notre arrivée on voulait nous faire assoir au comptoir, devant les chefs ,
Soit une option inacceptable pour nous. Toutes les tables étaient occupées par des enfants. Comprenez-moi bien ,j'adore les enfants. En plus, nous somme des gens de la région. Dans cette situation, le personnel aurait dû nous aviser de cette situation afin de pouvoir aller à un autre très bon restaurant de la région. Je suis vraiment très déçue!

Unbelievable service with chef Mati
The fish was absolutely amazing, fresh, tender & melted in your mouth ! Combinations were simply delicious.
Wine suggested from Spain was out of this world & I have tried my share of wines, Tempranillo which is typically a red was now white & it was fabulous!
I came her many times but every visit gets better, Chef Mati & staff continue to offer an unexpected & unforgivable experience
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary, the staff made sure that we had the best experience for this occasion by giving us a cozy spot by the bar. Chef Merts & Jian were amazing, they made a selection based on our taste & it was incredibly fresh & delicious. We came here last year & drove an hour because of how much we liked it, but this visit exceeded our expectations ! We'll come back for sure.
My partner & I visited Ekki this evening while vacationing in Mont-Tremblant. Overall, the food itself was excellent - everything we ate was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared.
We had a 7:30 reservation & were seated at the sushi bar, which overlooks the chefs preparing the sushi. It's actually a really neat experience to watch the process & see the dishes come together. Our appetizers arrived in a timely manner, & we had ordered our entrée (Platter #2) at the same time.
Unfortunately, this is where our experience took a turn. After finishing our appetizers, we ended up waiting over an hour for our sushi platter. Because we were seated directly at the bar overlooking the sushi station, we could actually see our platter sitting there for over 30 minutes without being brought to us. It became pretty clear that our server had forgotten about us.
No one checked in on us after our appetizers were cleared, & we were left trying to get someone's attention for quite a while. The only reason we didn't end up waiting even longer was because a woman sitting next to us kindly called a server over after noticing us looking around for help.
I used to work as a server for years, so I completely understand how stressful & multifaceted restaurant service can be. Mistakes happen. However, once someone finally came to assist us (a different server than the one we started with), they apologized for the delay but there was no attempt to compensate us in any way for the wait or the fact that we had essentially been forgotten.
It's unfortunate because the food itself was genuinely great & the restaurant has a strong reputation online, which is why we were excited to try it while visiting. But paying full price after waiting over an hour for our entrée due to a service oversight left us feeling pretty disappointed.
This restaurant came recommended as'the best sushi ever' & it didn't disappoint. We had the pleasure of sitting at the counter of the sushi bar & Chef merts & his partner chef Jian were amazing. They took great care & made every sushi rolls perfectly. Thanks for the lovely dinne
Table pour 4 . Visite le 24 février 2026. Nous sommes arrivés à l'heure (19h15) & avons attendu 20 minutes pour de l'eau, puis près de 2 heures avant d'être servis. Malgré tout, nous sommes restés respectueux & patients.
Nous avions commandé le plateau de luxe du chef, mais les explications étaient rapides, sans détail ni mise en valeur du travail du chef. Dans un restaurant de ce niveau, on s'attend à une vraie présentation - pas à un service expédié comme dans un buffet.
La serveuse a soupiré pendant la commande, nous a interrompus pour aller voir une autre table, a blâmé le manque d'un chef sushi pour les délais & a même lancé : « Voulez-vous que j'aille fouetter le chef ? » Manque total de professionnalisme.
Le thé a été servi avec le sachet encore dans son emballage plastique - nous avons donc bu de l'eau chaude infusée au plastique. Lorsqu'on l'a mentionné, l'explication donnée était peu crédible.
La nourriture était excellente, mais le service a complètement gâché l'expérience. Un dessert mochi ainsi qu'un autre thé nous ont été offerts pour compenser. Mais le problème n'était pas la nourriture. C'était l'attitude, le MANQUE de professionnalisme & les DÉLAIS excessifs.
Malheureusement, malgré la qualité des plats, nous ne retournerons pas à cet établissement en raison du service reçu le 24 février 2026.

This was our first time dining at EKKI Sushi & it was truly a memorable experience.
My partner & I sat at the corner of the chef's bar & watching Chef Merts work was absolutely beautiful. His technique is delicate precise & clearly the result of deep passion & hard work. There is such a calm focused energy in the way he prepares each dish & it added so much to the experience.
Everything felt intentional refined & heartfelt. We left feeling genuinely grateful for the care & artistry that went into our meal.
Thank you for this beautiful experience. I highly recommend EKKI Sushi if you want a truly memorable moment crafted by the chef.
We had a wonderful time at Ekki Sushi. The staff was fantastic, & we were fortunate enough to secure the best seats in the house.
A huge thank you to Jian, who went above & beyond to ensure we received exceptional service throughout the evening, complemented by Chef Merts' incredible creations.
This restaurant is definitely a must-visit if you're staying at the Bel-Air Resort.
My parents took my here to celebrate my graduation & I had a great time! The food was delicious & chef Jian really knocked it out of the park. First time allowing the chef to pick the platter as I'm usually picky & there was nothing I didn't like.

Overall a good experience. The ambiance was great both indoors & outdoors. The food was good, especially the sushi, which was great quality with really good flavours. There was a bit of a delay when we first arrived, we waited a while to be acknowledged & seated, but once we were served, everyone was friendly (it may have just been a busy night).
Head Chef Mertz, along with chefs Jian & Ken, & one of our server Reina were very welcoming & took time to make sure we were well taken care of.
Would recommend, but there's room for improvement with pacing, attentiveness, & acknowledging guests when they arrive.

Roxanne à l'acceuil nous a très bien guidée & offert une place de choix au bar à Sushi, juste à coté du Chef MERTS. Très sympathique ce Chef & que dire de la bouffe, meilleur sushi à vie. Poisson très frais, présensation spectaculaire & saveurs délicieuses.
Excellent service & nourriture exceptionnelle!! Nous n'avons que du positif à dire sur ce restaurant. Je tiens a remercier notre chef, Jian qui nous a servi un plat magnifique & absolument délicieux. Le personnel nous a offert une expérience mémorable. J'ai adoré & je recommande fortement ce restaurant ! Je compte certainement y retourner.
Nous avons adoré notre expérience à Ekki Sushi. Nous étions assis au bar, devant les chefs. Je tiens à remercier fortement Chef Jian, il a fait notre soirée une superbe expérience. Il nous a préparé une assiette de sushi sublime qui était simplement incroyable. Les serveurs sont très accueillant, connaissent très bien leur menu & sont toujours près à répondre aux questions. La cuisine, l'atmosphère & le service étaient superbe. Restaurant très fortement recommandé!
This was our 4th time visiting Ekki Sushi & we were fortunate to sit at Chef Merts' bar table & watch him work his magic. We had the chef's choice deluxe platter for 2 which was beautifully presented & spectacular tasting. Chef Merts was engaging us throughout our meal which we appreciated. Some of the best sushi & sashimi we've ever tasted. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks Chefs Merts & Jian.
