Eggspectation in Montreal is a great brunch spot with a fun atmosphere & a lot of character. I visited the location near Peel Metro Station, which makes it very convenient to get to if you're exploring downtown Montreal. The location is surrounded by shopping, hotels, cafés, & plenty of things to see & do, making it a perfect place to stop for a meal while spending the day in the city.
When I arrived, it was definitely very busy & crowded, but that also added to the lively brunch atmosphere. Even with the crowd, the service was great. Our waitress was very friendly, welcoming, & attentive, which made the experience even better.
The portions are huge! The food was delicious, fresh, & very filling. I honestly couldn't finish my meal, but thankfully I was able to get a takeout bag & enjoy the leftovers later. The quality & quantity of the food definitely make it a good value.
I also loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. There is plenty of seating, including additional space upstairs, & you can choose to sit indoors or on the patio. Sitting outside was especially enjoyable because you can relax, enjoy your meal, & people-watch while taking in the energy of downtown Montreal.
The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the wait & crowds can be a bit much during busy times, but that's also a sign of how popular the restaurant is.
Overall, Eggspectation is a fun brunch experience with great food, generous portions, friendly service, & a wonderful Montreal vibe. I would definitely come back!
Rubel was amazing. He was professional, attentive, had a great sense of humor & I highly recommend him as your server when you visit this restaurant. He made my experience really enjoyable

Was a nice location, servers were attentive. However the food was really not great. Firstly , I ordered a macchiato but received an espresso as is. I ordered Le Montrealaise & the potatoes came somewhat cold, eggs were fine,'smoked meat' was meh & half a pickle sliced , I couldn't believe they only serve it with 1 piece of toast. My partner got an eggs Benedict plate, the side salad was not fresh, wilted & soggy. For 60$ , please go grab breakfast anywhere other than this place!
My wife & I had a wonderful dining experience, & a huge part of that was thanks to Rubel. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, & genuinely welcoming. He anticipated our needs without being intrusive, made excellent recommendations, & ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect.
What stood out most was his warm personality & commitment to exceptional customer service. He made us feel valued as guests & created an atmosphere that was both comfortable & enjoyable. It's rare to encounter someone who combines efficiency, friendliness, & professionalism so effortlessly.

Rebel was an amazing server at Eggspectation! Super friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience really enjoyable. He checked in on us often, made sure everything was perfect, & had such a great attitude the entire time. The food came out great & the service was even better thanks to him. Had a wonderful experience at Eggspectation in Montreal. The service was exceptional from start to finish - the staff was friendly, attentive, & genuinely focused on making sure everyone was comfortable & happy. We come to Montreal once a year & always make sure to come here for breakfast because the experience is consistently excellent. What truly stood out this time was the manager's attention to detail & customer care. Even though only the downstairs section was open, the manager knew that we enjoy sitting upstairs in the booths &, without hesitation, accommodated us. That level of hospitality & personal attention is rare to find these days. The food was excellent, the atmosphere welcoming, & the entire experience made us feel genuinely valued as customers. Highly recommend visiting when in Montreal
