A visit to Montreal isn't complete without eating at a smoked meat restaurant. Dunn's is one of the originals, dating back to 1927. Their slow-cooked brisket is delicious: well-flavoured with an almost crumbly texture. Perfect. We had their smaller option, as this was lunch. Perfect size & perfectly delicious. We are moving on from Montreal tomorrow, so a visit to Dunn's was the ideal lunch to finish our visit here. We tried Dunn's for the first time & the service was impeccably fast. The host was patient with us as well. Although we ordered take-out, the place had a nice ambiance with lots of seating. We got poutine as well as the smoked meat sandwich. We also ordered the Dunn's famous smoked meat poutine & the smoked meat burger. The smoked meat poutine was covered in smoked meat & packed with flavour. There was a perfect ratio of cheese curds to gravy to fries as well. The smoked meat burger did not quite live up to our expectations. The burger patty itself was dry & there was only a few slices of smoked meat. On the other hand, the smoked meat sandwich was great! Highly recommend. If you're ever in Montreal, definitely hit up this spot.View more
