Review Summary

Duc de Lorraine is widely recognized as a charming and elegant destination in Montreal, offering a sophisticated Parisian atmosphere and a stunning view of Saint Joseph's Oratory. Many visitors are impressed by the visual beauty and artistic quality of the extensive selection of pastries, cakes, and croissants, with highlights like the banana pudding, almond croissants, and custom cakes often praised as delicious. While the dining experience, brunch, and atmosphere frequently earn high marks for being welcoming and memorable for special occasions, some guests find the pricing to be quite high relative to their expectations. Service is generally described as professional, attentive, and warm, though a few visitors have noted inconsistencies in wait times or staffing attentiveness during busier periods. Despite differing opinions on value, the establishment remains a popular spot for those seeking an upscale treat in a beautiful setting.

Service vraiment très fancy & attentionné pour compenser le prix des patisseries S/o a la 1st date du monsieur avec sa sugar baby à côté de nous

Tiktok has overhyped this place. Its very pricey for the quality. Not a big fan. We got a breakfast sandwich & omelette. I felt like the sandwich was made with old bread.

MUST TRY This French pastry shop & restaurant is a must try in montreal! The only negative thing I would add & this is why I give it a 4 star rating is because of how slow they are to bring out 3 already made dessert & two coffees! But if you have time to sit & wait, do try this place out!

I went there for my birthday because I thought it was a cute place with good food & stuff... But I was disappointed about the edifice which is too small. There is not enough space between the tables. I was not comfortable at all at my little table for 2. Food was delicious but a bit expensive IMO. However, the service was GOOD so I'll give the terrace a try next summe
