Very nice experience. Service was very good. Food is on the pricey side but quality is very fresh & tasty. Price of coffees is a bit exaggerated, but the coffee was good.
Good pastries, but order inside & eat outside instead of ordering on the table. It's cheaper & it will not take forever for the food & coffee to arrive
Reputable establishment.
This isn't the first time I come here, but it's the first in a while.
The food was delicious, but the service was slow & forgetful. I had to ask twice for water, & had to remind the waiter for my dessert.
We were seated at an awkward table, where customers came & went to get their pastries.
All in all, I enjoyed the food greatly, though I will not come back again.
FIY, I ordered the bagel eggs benedict & mimosa, & my friend ordered the avocado toast & coffee.

Went here for simple coffee.
Waited almost 45 mins to get a mocachino server gave us latte lol.
Note I'm not from Quebec. Idk if they just randomly forget our order while others who came after us get served
Although the food, service & ambiance were great, we were disappointed, as we went for particular desserts, & 2 of 4 desserts ordered were not available. The prices are just exorbitant & the quality or presentation isn't what you would expect for price. Also, our table was very wobbly, which seems to also not go with such an expensive place... the servers were very gracious in fixing everything with a smile, but really, when you are having hot coffee... the last thing you want is a wobbly table where your hot drink can call.... especially again for the price paid!
We honestly won't go back because it's just too pricey to be disappointed....

Probably one of the more expensive brunches I've had. I can see a lot of desire to get things right. the service was what made this not a 5 star. It wasn't flawless but if you are charging me that kind of money, I want flawless. My table was not ready, but I saw empty tables... at 9AM in the morning. it was not peak time. They had three times (3 times) crashes of plates & glasses falling to the ground. sure....It happens, sure, but three times? We ordered coffee, one came out early & the other took a lot of time time...the less complicated one to make as well. they just didn't read the room correctly. there was plenty of staff (plenty!). I made a reservation, we had to wait at the bar...it was cold in the area because the door was open....& I didn't get a warm beverage drink. We ordered the lobster benedict & the filet mignon benedict. It tasted great. the dining hall is tight & the service staff looked new & nervous. it showed. Parking was a breeze though.
Very poor service, we waited 1hr 40min for our food to arrive & we waited 50min for cappuccino (coffee was stone cold when served), we asked for salt & pepper when our food arrived but it never came. It would have been nice to receive a complementary dish or snack as a way of apologizing for the wait or for during the long wait but that did not happen.
Food was okay overall, I had the omlette & it was good but it did not blow me away, it needed more chilli & seasoning, the potatoes were very good. The portion was good but the food is quite pricy (this is subjective & my personal opinion)
We sat outside & it was quite nice, kind of cramped but it was nice overall. It was a disappointing experience, this was our first & last time coming here.
Ordered a simple macchiato , they gave me a very tall coffee Americano style which was clear in color , I let the waitress know this was not what I ordered (their coffee is almost 7$ + , should be decent & correct) , no one seemed to understand what it is I ordered however it is on the menu , took 3 attempts until I just asked for a regular espresso. Pastries ordered were not what was received , it is as if the waitress just decided what we should order, they pastries are surely frozen & cooked on site because they are terrible. . Bill was 70$ for 1 tea , 3 pastries & an espresso. Would not recommend.
Duc de Lorraine offers a delightful escape to France without ever leaving the city. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, with charming decor that instantly sets the mood for a Parisian experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the pastries. Their croissants are buttery, flaky perfection, & the selection of desserts is nothing short of exquisite. Pairing these with their rich, smooth coffee makes for a divine treat. Service is warm & attentive, adding to the overall experience. While prices are on the higher side, the quality & authenticity of the food justify it. Highly recommended!

MUST TRY This French pastry shop & restaurant is a must try in montreal! The only negative thing I would add & this is why I give it a 4 star rating is because of how slow they are to bring out 3 already made dessert & two coffees! But if you have time to sit & wait, do try this place out!
Awesome pastries & coffee. Claudia, Iris & the rest of the staff bring good joy & vibes to the restaurant! All with a great view of Saint Joseph's Oratory
the food was perfect, the coffee quality is great coming from a coffee snob. service & ambiance was just amazing. we were there for a birthday brunch & the team sang for us 5/5.
