Duc de Lorraine is widely recognized as a charming and elegant destination in Montreal, offering a sophisticated Parisian atmosphere and a stunning view of Saint Joseph's Oratory. Many visitors are impressed by the visual beauty and artistic quality of the extensive selection of pastries, cakes, and croissants, with highlights like the banana pudding, almond croissants, and custom cakes often praised as delicious. While the dining experience, brunch, and atmosphere frequently earn high marks for being welcoming and memorable for special occasions, some guests find the pricing to be quite high relative to their expectations. Service is generally described as professional, attentive, and warm, though a few visitors have noted inconsistencies in wait times or staffing attentiveness during busier periods. Despite differing opinions on value, the establishment remains a popular spot for those seeking an upscale treat in a beautiful setting.
Bryan was an excellent waiter-friendly, attentive, & professional. He provided great service, made sure our drinks were always taken care of, & made the experience enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Excellent service from Brian! He was welcoming, professional, & made sure everything was perfect. We had a great experience at Duc de Lorraine & will definitely be back.
Food was good 8/10 , wide dessert selection inside , the one I had was raspberry dessert ( 7/10) , aesthetics is great 10/10 , drink Aero Spritz 7/10, service from Eva 10/10 . I was solo & my bill was $100, very expensive , but I think it's an experience & taste of Europe .
The service was truly outstanding-professional, attentive, & welcoming from beginning to end. The food was equally exceptional, beautifully presented & full of flavor. Every detail reflected quality & care.
The only downside is the pricing, which
is undeniably on the higher side. However, don't let the prices discourage you from experiencing this place at least once. Exceptional quality often comes at a premium, & in this case, the overall experience, impeccable service, & remarkable cuisine make it a worthwhile indulgence.
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this restaurant is certainly worth trying, even if it's just for a special occasion.
