I have been going to Duc De Lorraine for the past 35 years. Last night, I had a diner with my grandson to celebrate his 20th birthday. Filet Mignon was impeccable. Service was outstanding as usual, & dessert was divine :)

Une expérience décevante

Malgré la nourriture à la hauteur de nos attentes & le fait que notre serveur ait fait de son mieux pour nous mettre à l'aise, l'accueil a été très mitigé. Nous étions quatre, mais le réceptionniste nous a indiqué une petite table près de l'entrée. De plus, les tables étaient si petites qu'il n'y avait pas assez de place pour tout le monde. Notre serveur a demandé une table plus grande & s'est entendu dire : « D'autres personnes ont déjà réservé avant vous, nous n'avons donc plus de place. » Finalement, il nous a apporté d'autres tables.

Il serait préférable d'améliorer le système de réservation pour attribuer les tables en fonction du nombre de convives.

We tried following 2 cakes:
-Fraisier
-Mousse Royal

Both were delicious. I prefer Mousse Royal.
I think a Fraisier contains Amaretto liqueur, which I don't like very much. I wish the menu had some explanations of the cakes. It will be easier to find one you really like.

We bought the New York chocolate pastry & it was so hard to bite!!!! It was hard & not fresh at all, it seems it is from yesterday's batch which was very disappointing. we bought Tiramisu cup as well, which was barely any cake, just full of cream & too sweet. Over all not satisfied at all for $24 for both items.
