Opinions of Duc de Lorraine describe a refined Parisian vibe with an impressive array of pastries and desserts that many reviewers call among the best in Montreal, from oversized croissants to intricate trompe l'oeil creations and a tarte au citron that draws rave comments. The bakery and cafe blend an elegant, cozy atmosphere near Oratoire Saint Joseph with consistently attentive, friendly service that makes guests feel welcome whether celebrating a birthday, enjoying a luxurious brunch, or stopping in for pastry and coffee. The food and desserts are praised for quality and presentation, and the overall experience is often described as charming, polished, and memorable, with a sense that the place truly delivers on its reputation. Awesome pastries & coffee. Claudia, Iris & the rest of the staff bring good joy & vibes to the restaurant! All with a great view of Saint Joseph's Oratory
We traveled all the way from Ontario to try their square croissant & I must say that it was all worth it. Souna greeted us & helped us & Iris took over. They were both amazing. Iris was very welcoming & friendly. The pastries were delectable, exquisite & heavenly!!! 😍🔥 Would I drive again to Montreal? Absolutely 💯
the food was perfect, the coffee quality is great coming from a coffee snob. service & ambiance was just amazing. we were there for a birthday brunch & the team sang for us 5/5.

Myself & my family had been wanting to visit for a while the service was good as well as the location & ambiance I had the lobster bagel & poached eggs very good my wife & daughter had the roast beef sandwich unfortunately that was not very good both sandwiches were not good at all they tasted like they had been in the counter fridge too long stale bread & beige coloured roast beef I suspect it may have been poor rotation as there were many sandwiches in the display counte
I wish to commend the entire staff at Duc de Lorraine! Specifically, I wish to recognize Peter, Joanna & Xavier for their exceptional service. Also, the chefs who provided my wife & I with wonderful dining & wine selections during our anniversary. Duc de Lorraine is not just a restaurant -- it is an experience. My best to everyone at the restaurant!
The place is great & service feels like a high end Parisienne experience, with white glove service! I just find it's expensive for what it is. The brunch was very tasty but spending $40 on eggs just doesn't seem worth it to me. As for all other pastries, they looked delicious, ambiance is great & service was impeccable ! It's a nice overall experience.
Searching for delicious pastries? Duc de Lorraine is your place! I fell in love with the raspberry cream filled croissant & the macarons. Perfect brunch spot with an awesome view of the oratory!
The croissant cookie was amazing. The tiramisu latte & hot chocolate were pretty good too. Just that the price range on the description should have been $$$$ or $$$$$ not $$. These 3 items costed almost $50 with tax & tips.
