Opinions of Duc de Lorraine describe a refined Parisian vibe with an impressive array of pastries and desserts that many reviewers call among the best in Montreal, from oversized croissants to intricate trompe l'oeil creations and a tarte au citron that draws rave comments. The bakery and cafe blend an elegant, cozy atmosphere near Oratoire Saint Joseph with consistently attentive, friendly service that makes guests feel welcome whether celebrating a birthday, enjoying a luxurious brunch, or stopping in for pastry and coffee. The food and desserts are praised for quality and presentation, and the overall experience is often described as charming, polished, and memorable, with a sense that the place truly delivers on its reputation. Andrew was an amazing server! The food was delicious. I had the fillet mignon Benedict & the dulce de letche croissant. Everything was great, I would recommend it!

My lady took me & made me a Surprise on this wonderful place The experience was very great with a beautiful atmosphere in the outdoor sitting We tried a chicken sandwich with cheese, worth a try. & we also took the cocktail that is in the picture. I highly recommend it.

Couldn't try what I wanted, Got the Fraisier it was pretty but flavor wise underwhelming. BUT, I tried some of my friends orders (crème brûlée, cheesecake) & it was absolutely delicious, fresh. Honestly, I'll come back for sure to try more of the menu's, thank you for reaching out! I recommend! 5/5 :)) customer service is amazing!
Always love going here. The service is amazing (thank you, Andréa! 😊). The food is top notch! Cannot recommend this place enough! If you love great pastries, this is the place for you!
Fantastic food but a little pricey. I came with my wife for a fancy (weekend-before-Valentine's-Day) dinner & we were well impressed. I believe the octopus appetizer is one of the best I've ever had. Amazing sauce with veggies & a super tender, fairly large (not chewy) octopus tentacle. The escargots appetizer was great, but had maybe a little too much pesto that overpowered the delicate flavour of the snails (a lot of pesto was left behind). For the main course we had the lamb & lobster risotto. The lamb was really good but I wasn't too impressed with the side of beans & potato...the potato specifically, just seemed like really large fries. I don't usually associate fries with fancy restaurants. The lobster risotto on the other hand was phenomenal. Tender lobster, perfect rice & an amazing sauce. For dessert my wife had a lemon tart (she loved it) & I had the cheese cake (delicious). I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion, but for a regular dinner out, a bit pricey. We did have a cocktail & glass of wine each, combined with 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts & a double espresso, our total with tax & tip was $360. Still worth the experience & I'd definitely come again...for a special occasion! :) ...definitely try the octopus if you like octopus...it's amazing.

Excellent choice of fine bakery. I haven't tried their dinner menu, so I can't comment on that. But the pastry items were delicious to say the least. Highly recommend. Their courteous staff & ambience makes it more delicious.
I came here with my friend & I enjoyed every part of our evening. The food, desserts & service went above my expectations (highly recommend the onion soup, seafood quiche & lattes). Special thank you to Titouan & his colleagues for making us feel at home :) We were indecisive on certain menu items & changed our minds on a decision we already made. Titouan was patient with us & offered great personalised menu recommendations. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for the amazing food & service !
