Brunch sans saveur, présentation quelconque. Placement à côté de la porte avec courant d'air froid, malgré une réservation. 36$ pour une omelette sans goût, dont les oignons ne sont pas cuits, assortie d'une tranche de brioche à peine grillée, trois demies pommes de terre non assaisonnées & un bol de fruit frais sans café ni jus de fruit....c'est hors de prix. Le service était incomplet : prise de commande très lente, manteaux mis au vestiaire, que nous avons décidé de récupérer par nous même car aucun retour du serveur. Même constat pour les 3 personnes présentes avec moi. Je ne renouvellerai pas l'expérience & ne recommande pas l'établissement.
Party of 8 for brunch, a little late getting seated but the staff more than made up for the delay. Great food, great atmosphere, & great service. Can't wait to come back.
Ordered the filet mignon & it's not that they brought out a cut of obviously not filet mignon, it's that they cleverly tried to disguise it as a filet mignon, which felt rather insulting. The dining room was overcrowded to the point where it heightened my anxiety past an acceptable level & I had to notify the wait staff that we needed to leave while the kitchen was still correcting their mis-stake. Don't go here for a special occasion. Wait until the patio opens in the summer & go for a random weekend brunch. The food is usually really good but booking a table for Valentine's Day was a mistake I very much regret making.
Food was ok for the price point. Not great or bad but just ok. For the price they charge, I expect something extraordinary. 45$ for a basic 2 egg, back & bread is outrageous, especially when it looks like something I can get for half price at any ordinary breakfast place. BUT their pastries are amazing. The new york croissant was flaky & buttery & the pistachio filling had a very nice deep flavor profile. I would come back for their pastries & coffee storefront, not so much for their brunch.
We came to Duc de Lorraine for brunch & Léa was our waiter. She was very patient & attentive. She took the time to explain menu options & suggest some dishes. The service was exceptional & the food was DELICIOUS! We took the Seafood Quiche, Croque Poulet, & Pancakes & we are tremendously happy with the food, the service, the atmosphere. Thank you Léa for an amazing service.
Le Duc de Lorraine était l'un des restaurants préférés de ma mère & de ma grand-mère. J'attendais avec impatience ma première expérience de brunch.
Mais quelle désappointement!
Vos prix pour des plats -- même des plat simples comme du bacon & des oeufs -- étaient inexplicables. Même choquant.
L'atmosphère de la salle à manger se composait uniquement de murs blancs & tachés, sans charme ni art.
Vos viennoiseries & pâtisseries sont délicieuses, oui, mais Montréal regorge de restaurants qui peuvent proposer des plats de brunch de belle qualité à moins de la moitié du prix. A moins que vous ne reveniez sur terre avec vos prix, je ne reviendrai pas.
The service was so slow. We waited so long to be served water & coffees & any time we needed simple things like salt, pepper, ketchup, it took 15minutes to receive. The food was hot once it arrived, that was positive, however it lacked salt & flavor. Very expensive for a mediocre brunch at best. The terrace was beautiful & atmosphere quite nice. The music they play for birthdays is extremely loud & quite long & off putting. I would go back for their pastries but not for brunch.

Brunch réussi sauf pour le croque-monsieur tiède au fromage figé & l'inattention des serveurs à qui nous avons dû demander par 3 fois de nous resservir du café. Tout était très bon. comme à l'habitude.
We have been coming to this restaurant for weekend brunch whenever we're in Montréal for over 7 years now. The restaurant is always busy on the weekend which I love. Plenty of great energy & laughs in the air. The food & coffee is always excellent. They also have bottomless mimosas!
Super service! Mon repas etait succulent( benedictine a l'homard) vraiment délicieux. J'adore la terasse dehors, je suis revenu plusieurs fois à ce restaurant pour le brunch & je ne suis jamais décue. Chapeau!
So disappointed!! We discovered this restaurant last summer & loved it. We went every Wednesday with friends & Sunday's for brunch. We just returned this year & prices have almost doubled!! Very hi end prices, without the refinement, the quality or the professional service. Our bill at the Ferreira a few days earlier was almost the same & we had fine cuisine, professional service & champagne!
We will not be returning. Tonight was our last visit. We will discover other great restaurants, there are so many!

C'était ma première visite au Duc de Lorraine, mais certainement pas la dernière! Le service est impeccable, les employés sont courtois & gentils, la terrasse est très jolie & que dire de la nourriture, un DÉLICE! Le tartare de saumon est l'un des meilleurs que j'ai mangé.
J'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner pour un autre souper ou même un brunch.
