Her positive energy & smile made the whole experience amazing. Definitely one of the best bartenders I've met.
Maybe we came on a bad night, but the burgers we ordered came without fries, & the service was somewhat slow. Other than that, it's a nice & casual place to have a beer or two.
Small menu but you're here for the smash burger & drinks. It's good, not great, but maybe I came in with too high expectations. Wasn't a fan of their fries though. Nice chill vibe, good place to swing in with friends.
A lot of fun & the price is reasonable. Very dive bar mood, but the clientele is a lot more young & trendy than an actual dive bar. The servers are very friendly, but can be disorganized. Food was good,a very satisfying selection of comfort food.
Solid neighborhood bar, with good priced beers. Pool table in the back. Smash burger is decent, though doesn't come with fries
Food was tasty but I ordered a 19$ plate that was supposed to have 2 "big pieces " of fried chicken. When it came it was more like a kids portion , I also had french fries & a large Labatt 50. With tax & 18% tip (smallest option) my bill was over 50$.
Great food recommendations, friendly staff, & awesome atmosphere. It was my first time there, & they know how to get people to come a second time. Thank you Dina!
Dive bar style but with quality food & ambiance. Warm, friendly & professional staff. Stayed there for almost 8hrs & didn't see the time go by. The burger is a must-try, the wings & fries are some of the best. I'll definitely be returning. Crazy but genius idea: they sell shots of listerine, which could be practical for a date night or covering up the cigarette you weren't supposed to have.
Alright atmosphere, very much "clearly heavily curated hipster dive bar". I was surprised at not having any beers on tap (from what I saw). I don't think I'd go here for food later at night as it can get extremely busy. Burger was great, but it's $15 just on its own. A bit steep in my opinion. Fries were also incredibly good, with fantastic aioli. Did not have any cocktails but the bottled beers were ice-cold, colder than you'd typically get at a bar, & prices for drinks were what you'd expect for a bar in this area. Entire place smelled strongly of whatever the kitchen was cooking- which today was calamari. Not a bad smell at all, just made the place smell like a fish & chips spot.
There was a big hype after their launch. & maybe we were unlucky that night but the burger was nothing like the beautiful photo you see, fries were not good, mistakes were made in our cocktails. Service was not great & unfortunately we did not enjoy it.
My rating doesn't reflect the bar itself but is based on my first experience there. Was having a great time until I stepped out to get some air. The door guy was off to the side with his back to the door busy chatting up some girls who were waiting to get in, so when I walked out I didn't get the line drawn on my wrist which shows you were already inside. To be fair I didn't even know you needed that, thanks to the door guy not doing his job. I went to go back in, since my phone & friend group were all inside, & of course he wouldn't let me in, claiming they were at full capacity, as he was letting other people in. I nicely explained that I had been in there since about 10:45, my friends were at the bar near the pool table & I didn't have my phone because I left it inside he was completely rude & basically said I was lying because HE didn't see me leave. (But he clearly saw me walk in as we walked right passed him when we showed up) Then I asked if he could open the door so I could point them out & maybe wave one of them down so they could bring me my phone & we could leave (as I wasn't going to be spending another dollar after this interaction, & we spent a lot that night) Nope he couldn't even do that. Even had someone else vouch that I actually was in there with friends...basically called both of us liars because HE didn't see me leave. My whole group ended up leaving after telling him again that I had been in there with them & that even the bartenders could vouch for me since we were standing by the bar. We won't be going back that's for sure
Dylan & Kevin- excellent bartenders & very friendly. Burger was 20 times better than I expected at a diver bar. The patrons were unbelievably friendly. All in all- 10 of 10 review
Overall it was just OK. It was a Thursday night, so it was quite packed. The atmosphere is fun, great 90's music & decor. We ordered burgers, poutine & jumbo stuffed jalapeno. Our burgers were unfortunately drowning in mayo which made it very slimy, salty & way too messy. The poutine had more pieces of hotdogs than fries, & the fries were mushy. The jalapeno was stuffed with cheese & wrapped in bacon.. nothing too special. I am debating on giving this spot a second chance, maybe on a quieter night of the week when they can focus on quality food.
I went to Doubles's & OH MY GOD. Excellent service & great staff, so welcoming & friendly , they really know how to make someone comfortable. The burgers are INCREDIBLE. This place is truly a hidden gem in the nicest neighborhood of the city. I love Doubles's . P.S the servers are hot
Great dive bar atmosphere, with even better food. The burger is simple in the best way possible. They don't overcomplicate it with a ton of toppings (patty, cheese, pickles, lettuce, Michigan sauce), nor do they make it inaccessible to picky eaters. The fries may be some of the best I've had at a resto. Even the dessert, which always comes with a sparkler, was great. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back.
Cool place to hang out with friends over delicious smash burgers & drinks. Quite a nice atmosphere, great music (80's & 90's), pool table is a plus.
Came here on a Monday night for a friend's birthday. We ordered most of the menu & nothing disappointed! The standouts were definitely the burger & the mozzarella sticks. The cheese pull speaks for itself. The wings & chicken parm were also solid, & the fries were nice & crispy, served with a garlic mayo. When I say the burger is a standout, I don't even mean "for a bar". It's a contender for best burger in Montreal, & when warring against titans like L'Hamburger, MangeDansMonHood, & Chez Simon, you know that means something. The da t that you can get it either Beyond Pattie's is a big deal for all the vegetarians out there too. The venue's appearance is curated to look like your favorite basement dive bar, but everything feels hand-picked & perfect. We ran up a heck of a tab, but we left full & tipsy, with plans to come back ASAP, worth the cost for sure!
Just went tonight, & I had the best burger & dessert ever... what a great cook she is... ok, she is our daughter, her name is Adriana. Thanks gor cooking for us & your friends!!!
The food was yummy & the service was friendly. The music was great & the atmosphere was fun. The only downside was the beer & wine selection, which was really lacking & definitely an area to improve on.
