Double's est un bar vivant et sans pretention qui combine l esprit de quartier avec une touche moderne, où le smash burger, les ailes et les rondelles d oignon sont des favoris du public et l emballage a emporter est bien apprécié; l ambiance est décrite comme fun, conviviale et pleine d energie, avec un esprit d equipe solide derriere un service globalement fiable. Les reservations sont souvent conseillées car l endroit peut devenir bondé, et quelques avis signalent une certaine incoherence des frites ou un burger un peu trop sale, mais le Michigan Olive Burger est mis en avant comme excellent et l expérience générale est louée pour la valeur, l ambiance et l hospitalité. C est un endroit pour prendre un verre, regarder le hockey et profiter de l ambiance, et beaucoup notent que Double's est une destination de burgers de choix dans le quartier.
Upscale hipster bar that is basically small town themed. I walk into the bar & on first glance it reminds me of my small town. Springsteen on the wall, pool table, bottles of bud, hockey game on. Classic dive bar feel.
I sit down at barstool hoping to get a bottle of beer & relax. Was immediately told I need a reservation & had to leave lol.
Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover. Fooled me.
Double's a une personnalité unique de sous-sol kétaine des années 80s, nourriture de fin de soirée & carte de vins avec une qualité bien au-dessus de l'atmosphère proposée. S'ensuit une expérience unique de fast-food arrosé avec du bon vin dans un endroit qu'on est fier de ne pas rénover. C'est le fun, décontracté & on mange bien dans une atmosphère électrique.
D'emblée le service par la jeune équipe de serveuse est sympathique, relax & accueillante. De loin, le gros facteur différentiateur de l'endroit.
Les ailes de poulet était excellentes avec une sauce bien relevée, piquante & lustrée. Les burgers étaient également très bon, un peu trop salés, mais belle croûte de sur-cuisson de ce que l'on attend d'un smash burger. Seul bémol, les frites, qui avaient été recommandées par la serveuse, se sont avérés très ordinaires, pâteuses, sans saveur, pas vraiment bonnes. Par contre, les rondelles d'oignons sont bien meilleures & fortement recommandées.
Seule chose qui est vraiment gossant est le va & vient incessant des fumeurs qui ouvrent & ferment la porte d'entrée ce qui pousse des drafts d'air froid en hiver & qui refroidit toute la salle. Gossant les fumeurs. En terminant, les toilettes ne possèdent pas de lavabo fonctionnel pour se laver les mains & sont généralement en état pitoyable qui pourrait en rebuter plusieurs. Je comprends qu'on veut un look « dive bar » mais y'a quand même un minimum de décence.

My first day in Montreal & I decided to have dinner at this wonderful dive bar. The Michigan Olive Burger amazingly delicious & of great quality. I would come back here again when I make my way back to MTL.
Best smash burger in town, BEST mozzarella sticks I've ever had the honour of tasting. Super nice service, cool & intimate dive bar atmosphere, just an all around awesome place. Worth the hype & worth the price 👌👌
A lot of fun & the price is reasonable. Very dive bar mood, but the clientele is a lot more young & trendy than an actual dive bar. The servers are very friendly, but can be disorganized. Food was good,a very satisfying selection of comfort food.
Dive bar style but with quality food & ambiance. Warm, friendly & professional staff. Stayed there for almost 8hrs & didn't see the time go by. The burger is a must-try, the wings & fries are some of the best. I'll definitely be returning. Crazy but genius idea: they sell shots of listerine, which could be practical for a date night or covering up the cigarette you weren't supposed to have.
Alright atmosphere, very much "clearly heavily curated hipster dive bar". I was surprised at not having any beers on tap (from what I saw). I don't think I'd go here for food later at night as it can get extremely busy. Burger was great, but it's $15 just on its own. A bit steep in my opinion. Fries were also incredibly good, with fantastic aioli. Did not have any cocktails but the bottled beers were ice-cold, colder than you'd typically get at a bar, & prices for drinks were what you'd expect for a bar in this area. Entire place smelled strongly of whatever the kitchen was cooking- which today was calamari. Not a bad smell at all, just made the place smell like a fish & chips spot.

Dylan & Kevin- excellent bartenders & very friendly. Burger was 20 times better than I expected at a diver bar. The patrons were unbelievably friendly. All in all- 10 of 10 review
Great dive bar atmosphere, with even better food. The burger is simple in the best way possible. They don't overcomplicate it with a ton of toppings (patty, cheese, pickles, lettuce, Michigan sauce), nor do they make it inaccessible to picky eaters. The fries may be some of the best I've had at a resto. Even the dessert, which always comes with a sparkler, was great. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back.

Came here on a Monday night for a friend's birthday. We ordered most of the menu & nothing disappointed! The standouts were definitely the burger & the mozzarella sticks. The cheese pull speaks for itself. The wings & chicken parm were also solid, & the fries were nice & crispy, served with a garlic mayo. When I say the burger is a standout, I don't even mean "for a bar". It's a contender for best burger in Montreal, & when warring against titans like L'Hamburger, MangeDansMonHood, & Chez Simon, you know that means something. The da t that you can get it either Beyond Pattie's is a big deal for all the vegetarians out there too. The venue's appearance is curated to look like your favorite basement dive bar, but everything feels hand-picked & perfect. We ran up a heck of a tab, but we left full & tipsy, with plans to come back ASAP, worth the cost for sure!
Do they call it a smash burger because of the way it's cooked or because of how you smash it in your mouth from how good it is? In any case, this one is both.
For being relatively new (ish) it is decorated as an old neighbourhood dive bar. Playing alternative rock, showing sports (mostly football right now), pool table, the decor overall, graffiti all over the entrance wall... This place is a vibe.
But the real star of the show for us was the Michigan Oliive Burger. We were told why it's called that but tbh.. we forgot. But nonetheless it is wonderful. Very large, & yet we kinda wanted another one. Juicy, moist, just the right amount of light bread, lovely sauce & did we say... Very large?
It's worth visiting for this burger alone.
I was hesitant to go here as it felt like somewhere that could have easily been overhyped but I have never been so wrong. This was, hands down, the BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE. I truly cannot express how good it was, just go try it & see for yourself.
The restaurant itself has an unassuming exterior & the inside is dark & has the feel of a dive bar. It’s intentionally decorated to give this feel while still been clean & cosy. Service was great, cocktails really good. On the more expensive side overall but I would gladly pay for the quality. Looking forward to trying more of their food options, this chef is amazing!
